Us 4 kids suddenly found ourselves in the unenviable position of having to find a frail care home for our 90 year old mum. Little did we know that we would find this absolute gem just around the corner! I cannot rave enough about the quality of the care our mum is receiving and the feel of this home. It's vibrant and full of joy and although it has been a real rollercoaster ride, Lindiwe and her team of ladies never fail to be there to support and encourage us. Please remember MY PLACE in Waterfall, KZN . Oh and I'm slowly finding bits and pieces around to soften the living areas... greenery never, ever fails!

I've had a couple of tough months with very old, very ill parents and I think it has sucked a bit of creative energy out of me, but a holiday with my precious daughter and son in law, a few days spent at one of my favourite homes, and the company of very precious friends, was all I needed to get back on track! Here we have an outside room that has been created over time and this trip it just came together beautifully and I love everything about it!

Mock roman blinds are the answer when your windows need something to brighten them up. Here we did them in the kitchen and the guest loo and they make a world of difference!

Beautiful kitchen revamp just by spraying the cupboards and putting new mosaic tiles onto the splashback!

I love a home where you walk in and something catches your eye and makes you smile! You have to love these dogs!!
And of course I love the way these 2 tub chairs came out!

Starting point for this bedroom was the gorgeous oil painting and then it's just a case of layering and it kind of found its own way to the mauve and duck egg colour scheme and I think its such an interesting, unusual conclusion!

I adore this outside space! We had to work with the mustard wall colour but I think it off-sets the mirror, plates and home grown orchids beautifully!

A few photos from the houses I am busy with. Lots of styling this week which I love! I'm so very grateful for the work. It's been 20 years now and I still get that flutter of excitement when I get a new job but the best is when old clients call me. They already know and understand who I am and how I work and there's something very special about that. I suppose it's all about trust.
