The bedroom changed the moment the headboard went in.

Not a renovation. Not new furniture. Just one upholstered piece, made to fit the wall and the room, in a fabric chosen for exactly this space.

Most people do not realise a headboard is something you can have made. Or that an existing one can be reupholstered in something completely different. It is one of the highest impact changes you can make to a bedroom and one of the most overlooked.

Come in and talk to us about what is possible.

Every home has two versions. The one you walk into, and the one you could live in.

This neat three-bedroom home at 14 Roxy Lane is a perfect example. Open plan living, a practical kitchen, a sunny garden, and space that simply works. Solid, honest, ready for its next chapter.

Swipe through and you'll see what we mean about the second version. Together with Hedley Quick, the East London soft furnishings studio, we styled one small change to show how quickly this house responds to a little imagination. Nothing structural. No renovation budget. Just a glimpse of what's possible.

That's how we think buyers should view every home. Not just what's there on the day, but what it could become with your furniture, your style, your life in it.

House A.

Every room in this home told us something different. Some needed light managed softly. Others needed to close completely. A few needed both at once.

Working alongside StylEast we window dressed the whole house - and this is what it looks like when every window gets exactly what it needs.

Not every upholstery job is a sofa in a living room.

These restaurant bench seats came to us worn and tired. They left in black vinyl with red contrast stitching - durable enough for commercial use, finished well enough to be noticed.

The detail work is where this kind of job lives. Getting the corners tight, the stitching straight, the tension even across a long seat. It is the same discipline whether the piece ends up in a restaurant or a home.

If you have commercial seating that needs attention, we can help.

A room that needs something is often just missing the right cushion.

It sounds simple because it is. A scatter cushion changes the tone of a sofa, a chair, or a bed faster than almost any other single decision in a room. The right combination of pattern, texture, and scale can pull together colours that were not quite working, or add the layer a space was missing without touching anything else.

We have a range of scatter cushions available online - botanicals, stripes, plains, and prints - each filled with an inner chosen to actually hold its shape.

The track you choose affects everything that comes after it.

A standard track works on a simple runner system. The curtain hangs from hooks or rings and draws open from a central point or one side. It is reliable, widely used, and works well for most conventional windows. The heading style - pinch pleat, eyelet, pencil pleat - determines how the curtain looks when it is drawn and when it is open.

A wave track works differently. The curtain is attached to evenly spaced gliders that are connected by a cord, which means the fabric moves in uniform, continuous folds rather than gathering at the sides when opened. The result is a clean, consistent wave from top to bottom whether the curtain is open or closed. It suits contemporary interiors particularly well and works best with fabric that has enough weight to hold the wave shape.

The practical difference comes down to two things. First, the look you are after - a wave track has a specific aesthetic that not every room calls for. Second, the ceiling or wall structure, because wave tracks are often ceiling-mounted and the fixing needs to suit the space.

Neither is better. They are different tools for different results. The conversation about which one is right for your room should happen before a single measurement is taken.

Come in and we will show you both in the showroom.

Your winter curtains have done their job. Now they deserve a rest.

Heavy lined fabric is exactly what a room needs when the days are short and the air is cold. But as the we move into spring, those same qualities start working against you. A thermal lining that kept warmth in now traps heat. Thick fabric drawn against a summer window holds the heat in a room rather than letting it breathe.

Lighter fabric on the same track can make a noticeable difference to how cool a room feels through the day. Not a rule - just something worth knowing before the temperature climbs.

The roller blind is one of the most underestimated window treatments in a room.

No gathered fabric, no heading style to consider, no stack when it opens. Just a clean, flat surface that manages light precisely and disappears when you do not need it. In a room where the architecture is doing the work, that restraint is exactly right.

The detail that most people miss is the fabric choice. A roller blind in a light-filtering fabric diffuses glare without killing the view. A blackout fabric does the opposite completely. Getting that call right changes how the room feels at every hour of the day.

The best feature in the house moves on its own.

That is what Client V told Riana after we completed this smart home installation. Motorised curtains and blinds integrated seamlessly into the home automation system - light and privacy controlled exactly the way the space demands, without lifting a finger.

A project like this does not happen alone. Credit to Architects Unbound - Pty Ltd. for the vision, Stuart Graham Fabrics for the fabric, and AV Concepts for the automation integration that brings it all together.
