Cheers to a Legend! Thank you Andries.🙏🏼
After almost five decades of dedicated service, one of Multi-flor's most respected employees has retired, bringing to a close a remarkable career defined by loyalty, hard work and an unwavering commitment to others.
Mr Andries Moroka officially retired at the end of April 2026 after spending nearly half a century serving the Bloemfontein-based family business. Born in Thaba Nchu on 20 April 1960, Moroka built both his family and career on the values of integrity, dedication and perseverance. Together with his wife, Alina, he raised two children, Kediemetse and Nana, while becoming an integral part of Multi-flor's growth story.
Moroka first joined Multi-flor as a casual worker before signing his official employment contract in 1981. Over the years, he witnessed the transformation of the company from a local family business into one of Southern Africa's leading flooring suppliers. Throughout that journey, he remained a trusted and dependable member of the team, developing extensive expertise in production processes, carpet cutting, machine maintenance and product preparation.
Beyond his technical knowledge, colleagues remember Moroka for his willingness to mentor and train others. Countless employees benefited from his guidance and experience, with many crediting him for helping build their confidence and skills in the workplace.
Reflecting on his retirement, Moroka said he misses teaching colleagues and new employees. He fondly recalled working alongside now-retired directors and reflected on the early years of his career, remembering a time when he earned a salary of just R12.
Known for his humour, storytelling and positive outlook, Moroka became much more than an employee. He embodied Multi-flor's "Live with Joy" philosophy, bringing warmth and encouragement to colleagues across generations.
As he begins his retirement, Multi-flor has expressed its sincere appreciation for his extraordinary contribution to the business. The company wishes him good health, happiness and many treasured moments with his family, while celebrating a legacy that will continue to inspire future generations.
