Ted has a face you won't forget, a heart full of love, and two beautiful eyes that make him all the more special 💙🤎

As part of Myths, Mysteries & Little Paws, a beautiful collaboration between Unbound Art Studio, MeanKat Café, and 9 Lives Café, we're using the power of art and storytelling to shine a light on some of the very special animals waiting for their forever homes 🎨🐶

And this time, it's Ted's turn to be seen 💚 Ted is a gorgeous Husky cross, around 8 years old, with the most striking mismatched eyes and a gentle personality to match his handsome looks. Sadly, Ted found himself at AACL – Durban & PMB Branch through no fault of his own. His owner had to move and was unable to take him along, leaving Ted to start over and find a new place to call home.

It's heartbreaking when a dog loses the life and family they've known, especially when it's through circumstances beyond their control. But Ted hasn't lost his gentle nature or his ability to love. He is a beautiful boy who deserves a second chance, a soft place to land, and someone who will choose him for all the years still ahead 🥹💚

His portrait is more than just a beautiful piece of art. It's an opportunity to introduce the world to Ted, to share his story, and hopefully to catch the eye of the person who is meant to be his forever family.

Meet Ted, an 8-year-old Husky cross I had the pleasure of meeting at the Animal Anti-Cruelty League last Saturday.

Ted is looking for a new home after his owner had to surrender him due to a move. He's a gentle, well-mannered boy who deserves a family to share his golden years with.

Older dogs are often overlooked in favour of puppies, but they still have so much love to give. And sometimes, the best companions are the ones we almost passed by.

Willow and Latte are looking for a home together, and Willow has quite a story to tell.

After being found pregnant, weak and unwell, Willow was diagnosed with kidney disease. She’s been through a lot, but this gentle girl is still as sweet as ever. She needs ongoing medication and treatment, and we’re hoping to raise funds to help cover her medical costs.

Willow and Latte are a bonded pair, so they’re looking for a family who can give them both a safe, loving home.

Some dogs are judged by the job they were bred to do, rather than the love they have to give.

Solo is nine years old, loves cuddles and giving kisses, and has a whole lot of love left to give.

When he was found wandering along a dirt road, he was thin, injured and frightened. It took time and patience for him to learn to trust again, but today he's a gentle, affectionate boy looking for a family of his own.

His story is a reminder that a dog's past doesn't tell us everything about the friend they could become.

Meet Latte, MeanKats Café's resident croissant thief!

This handsome ginger boy has two settings: sweet, cuddly sweetheart or absolute chaos. And if there's food around, you'd better keep an eye on your croissant!

Beneath all that ginger mischief is a boy who loves affection and has plenty of love to give.

Latte spent time surviving on the streets before a caring volunteer brought him to safety. Along the way, he found his special friend, Willow.

These two have a proper sibling bond. One minute they're wrestling and arguing; the next they're back together as if nothing happened. And they need to find a forever home together.
