There is something special about taking a well-loved piece of furniture and giving it a whole new life.

Our reupholstery process starts with the old piece arriving at our workshop, ready to be stripped back and carefully assessed.

The furniture arrives at our workshop, ready for its transformation.

We strip it right back, inspect the frame and make any necessary repairs to ensure the foundation is strong.

New webbing and foam are fitted, while the chosen fabric is carefully measured and cut.

Then comes the upholstery. This is where all those little details, skilled hands and years of experience come together.

And finally, the finished piece. Familiar, but completely transformed.

We love making new, but there is something particularly rewarding about restoring something that already has a story.

Behind every beautifully upholstered piece is a team of talented people who take real pride in what they do.

Our upholstery workshop team brings many combined years of experience, skill and knowledge to every piece that leaves our workshop. From detailed reupholstery to custom-made furniture, their attention to detail and craftsmanship is what brings our designs to life.

They are incredibly good at what they do, but more importantly, they genuinely care about their work. There is a real passion for the craft, and you can see it in the finished product.

Good morning, spring!🌿

There is something about the start of spring that makes us want to open the windows, let in a little more light and give our homes a refresh.

Sometimes, the biggest transformation starts with something you already have.

A new fabric can completely change the look and feel of a chair. The shape stays, the character stays, but suddenly it feels fresh, considered and completely at home in a new space.

Out with the old and in with the new… but not completely. In this case we swapped out the worn and dark vinyl for a beautiful new and neutral fabric, as well as removing the studs and replacing with a double piping feature.

Here at the House of Décor, we love creating something new from scratch, but we also love giving much-loved pieces a second life. Our workshop is where chairs, sofas, headboards and other treasured pieces are reupholstered, refreshed and made beautiful again.

Then, we’ll invite you back to our fabric and sourcing library, where we’ll present your scheme alongside our extensive selection of beautiful fabrics, helping you find the perfect combination for your space.

Once all your selections have been made, we’ll put together a detailed, personalised quote for your project.

Everything will be clearly itemised, so you know exactly what’s included before we move forward.

Once your quote has been approved, your curtains are carefully made in our workshop by our skilled team.

From precise cutting and expert stitching to the finishing touches, every detail is handled with care to create beautifully made curtains, made specifically for your space.

Before your curtains leave our workshop, every piece is carefully checked to make sure the quality and finish are just right.

Then our installation team brings everything together in your space, hanging and finishing your curtains with the same care and attention to detail.

A little look at what we’ve been up to lately, and no two sites are looking quite the same.

Cabinetry going in. Worktops being templated. Building works underway. Renovations taking shape. New builds moving along.

Some spaces are still very much a work in progress, while others are starting to look like the finished vision we’ve had in mind from the beginning.

It’s the busy, dusty, exciting part of the process where everything starts coming together. Lots happening behind the scenes, plenty of moving parts, and some seriously beautiful projects in the making.

Our workshop team work with their hands, their minds and their hearts. Every measurement, cut, stitch and finish is part of a process that turns beautiful fabric into something made specifically for a space.

Because bespoke curtaining isn’t simply about sewing fabric together. It is about understanding the material, respecting the craft and knowing that the smallest details can make the biggest difference.
