Children’s bedrooms are some of my favourite spaces to design.

They should spark imagination and feel joyful, but above all, they should support the way a family lives. I believe a child’s room should grow with them - balancing practicality with personality through thoughtful layouts, durable materials, clever storage, and timeless design choices.

The goal is to create a space that feels comforting today, while adapting beautifully to the years ahead. Because the best children’s bedrooms aren’t just designed for a moment in time. They’re designed for life’s many stages.

If you’re planning your next project, we’d love to help bring your vision to life.

Designing a smaller space isn’t about compromising, it’s about making thoughtful choices that allow every square metre to work beautifully.

Whether it’s a compact apartment, a guest bedroom, a home office, or an unused corner of the home, good design begins with understanding how the space will be lived in.

Clever shelving can maximise vertical space without overwhelming a room, integrated storage helps minimise visual clutter, and a carefully considered colour palette creates a sense of openness and flow.

The finishing touches matter too. Layering natural textures, introducing mirrors to reflect light, and selecting décor with intention rather than abundance can transform a space from feeling confined to feeling calm, functional, and inviting.

Ultimately, the goal isn’t to make a small room look bigger - it’s to make it feel beautifully considered, purposeful, and uniquely yours.

What design challenge are you currently facing in your home?

Creating a home that feels warm and inviting isn’t always about adding more. It’s about layering with intention.

From soft lighting and natural materials to tactile textures and warm neutrals, the smallest design decisions can have the greatest impact. Thoughtful layering helps create spaces that feel welcoming, comfortable, and beautifully lived in, especially during the quieter winter months.

This pink girls’ room brings them all together for a space that feels cosy, inviting, and timeless.

Every home tells a different story.

This residential project was shaped around the people who live within it - their routines, their lifestyle, and the atmosphere they wanted to create. Through thoughtful planning, layered materials, and a restrained palette, the result is a home that feels both beautiful and deeply personal.

Thoughtful shelf styling can completely change the feeling of a space.

A mix of books, natural materials, sculptural objects, and negative space brings warmth and balance while allowing each piece room to breathe. Sometimes, less truly does create more impact.

As the season shifts, interiors naturally lean toward warmth, richness, and texture.

This winter, I’m especially drawn to heavy weighted fabrics and finishes that bring depth and comfort into a space, materials that feel timeless, tactile, and quietly luxurious.

Here are a few favourites I continue returning to this season.

Motherhood has softened the way I see a home.

I’ve come to believe that a beautiful home is not one that looks perfect, it’s one that supports real life beautifully.

A home can be elegant and still be family-friendly. It can feel refined and still hold the noise, movement, tenderness, and mess that come with this season of life. In fact, I think that’s where the real beauty lives.

Now, when I design, I’m drawn to spaces that feel warm, layered, peaceful, and livable, homes that look good, yes, but more importantly, feel good to be in. Motherhood hasn’t taken away my love for beautiful interiors.

It’s deepened it.

There’s a quiet rhythm to a well-lived home, shaped over time through care, presence and intention.

It’s found in the small, everyday moments that bring a sense of ease and belonging, and in the women who so naturally create that feeling without needing to name it. As Mother’s Day approaches, we’re reminded of the role these spaces play, not just in how they look, but in how they hold and support the lives lived within them.
