No Time, No Problem

When the Gift Deadline Is Tomorrow (Or Today)

We've all been there.

The baby shower is tomorrow and you completely forgot. The birthday snuck up on you. Someone mentioned a new arrival three weeks ago and you only just remembered today. Whatever the reason, you need a gift, you need it fast, and elaborate is simply not on the table.

Good news: simple, quick designs can be just as charming as the complicated ones.

Take a colourful outline bear design on a baby bib, paired with "Cuddle Me Crazy" underneath. Quick to stitch. Genuinely adorable. Done in well under an hour, start to finish.

This is the beauty of simple outline designs. They're light on stitch count, which means less time at the machine. But they're still detailed enough to look charming and intentional, not rushed or thrown together.
Pair a simple design with a fun quote and you've got something that feels complete, even though it took a fraction of the time a dense, detailed design would.

Other quick wins for last-minute gifts:
• A simple outline design on a tea towel
• A small motif on a ready-made tote bag
• A quick quote on a cushion cover
• An outline animal on a onesie

Nobody needs to know it took you forty minutes instead of four hours. They just see something thoughtful, handmade, and genuinely lovely.

Sometimes simple isn't a compromise. It's exactly the right choice.

Happy stitching,
Adriana 💛

Your Kitchen Deserves a Personality

From Pot Holders to Aprons,
Make Your Kitchen Unmistakably Yours

The kitchen is the heart of most homes.

It's where the chaos happens. Where the coffee gets made before anyone is human enough to speak. Where the biscuit tin lives. Where somehow everyone ends up gathered regardless of how many other perfectly good rooms there are.

So why does it so often look like nobody lives there?
Let's change that.

Start with pot holders. One with a beautiful design. Something fun, florals, geometric patterns, something that coordinates with your kitchen colours. And the other? A quote. "Hot Stuff Coming Through." "I Kiss Better Than I Cook." "Warning: Chef Having a Bad Day." Something that makes whoever picks it up actually laugh.

Then the apron. Because nobody should cook in a boring apron. A design that matches your personality. Cheeky. Elegant. Colourful. Something that makes you feel like you're actually in charge of this kitchen rather than just surviving it.

Tea towels are next. Fruit designs. Coffee themed motifs. Herbs and botanicals. Quirky quotes about w**e, cooking, or the general chaos of family life. A set of coordinated tea towels with different designs in the same colour palette looks absolutely brilliant hanging in a kitchen.

Then keep going. Oven mitt sets. Bread basket liners. A small fabric bowl for the fruit. Placemats with coordinating embroidery.

The kitchen is a space you use every single day. Multiple times. By every person in your household.

Make it fun. Make it personal. Make it yours.

Happy stitching,
Adriana 💛

Towels That Are Way Too Pretty to Leave at Home

From Bathroom to Beach, Towels Deserve Better Than Plain

A mermaid design on a swimming towel with a cute quote underneath.

Honestly, is there anything more perfect for a little girl who's convinced she's half fish the moment she gets near water?

But here's the thing – fun towel embroidery isn't just for children. It works for everyone. And once you start thinking about what you can do with a plain towel and the right design, it's genuinely hard to stop.

For the little ones: mermaids, sea creatures, playful animals, their name in bold cheerful letters, something that makes them easy to spot at the pool and impossible to mix up with anyone else's towel.

For teenagers: something cool. A quote they love. Bold graphics. Their initials in a font that actually suits them rather than something babyish.

For adults: elegant botanical designs on bathroom towels. Sophisticated monograms. Coastal designs for beach towels. Something beautiful enough to hang in a guest bathroom and practical enough to actually use.

For the whole family: matching sets with individual names. Everyone has their own, everyone knows which is theirs, and the whole set looks intentional and lovely rather than a random collection of different towels from different shops.

Swimming towels, beach towels, bathroom towels, guest towels, gym towels – every single one of them benefits from a little embroidery love.
Plain towels are functional.

Embroidered ones are memorable.

Happy stitching,
Adriana 💛

Hooded Towels That Make Everyone Smile

There are very few things in life as completely adorable as a baby wrapped in a hooded towel.

You know the moment. Fresh from the bath, wrapped up like a tiny burrito, little face peering out from under the hood. It's the kind of moment parents and grandparents could photograph a thousand times and still want more.

Now imagine that hooded towel has beautiful embroidery on it.

Their name across the back. A sweet design on the hood – a little animal face, a delicate floral, stars, whatever suits their personality or nursery theme. Something that makes an already precious moment feel even more special and personal.

Hooded towels are genuinely one of the most practical and most loved baby gifts you can make. They get used at every single bath time. They last for years. And unlike clothing that's outgrown in weeks, a good quality hooded towel stays in rotation for a surprisingly long time.

And it doesn't stop at towels.

Matching embroidered facecloths. A small hand towel with their name for their little bathroom hook. A bath mitt with a cheerful design. Everything coordinated, everything personalised, everything beautiful.

A full matching set makes one of the most impressive baby gifts you can give. Practical enough that parents actually need it. Beautiful enough that they'll treasure it.

Bath time as a whole experience. Made beautiful. Made personal. Made with your machine and a little creative love.

Happy stitching,
Adriana 💛

Children's Embroidery Is the Most Enjoyable Thing You'll Stitch

If you want pure creative joy with very little pressure, embroider on kids' clothing.

Adults overthink everything. Is this too bold? Does this match? What if I don't love it in six months? Kids don't care about any of that. They just want things that are fun, colourful, and a little bit silly.

Plain t-shirts are the perfect canvas. A child's t-shirt with nothing on it is just... a t-shirt. Add a fun quote and suddenly it's a personality.

"Professional Snack Eater." "Dinosaur Expert in Training." "Caution: May Contain Glitter." "Future World Champion (At Something)." "Mostly Behaved." Whatever fits their particular brand of chaos and charm.

Pair the quote with a playful design – a dinosaur, a unicorn, a rocket ship, a football – and you've got something they'll genuinely want to wear. Not because they appreciate quality embroidery (they absolutely do not, yet), but because it's fun and it's theirs.

And here's what makes kids' clothing especially enjoyable to create: there's no such thing as too colourful, too bold, or too playful. Bright clashing colours work. Oversized cheerful designs work. Mismatched patterns somehow work. Kids' fashion gives you permission to have proper fun with your machine.

Birthday shirts with their age in bold numbers. Big sibling and little sibling matching designs. First day of school shirts with brave little quotes. Everyday t-shirts that just make them grin when they put them on.

Sometimes the best embroidery isn't sophisticated or elegant. Sometimes it's just delightfully, unapologetically fun.

And honestly? We could probably all use a bit more of that.

Happy stitching,
Adriana 💛
