SHALL WE TURN AWAY FROM THE LAND?
In times like these, when the Middle East is once again filled with uncertainty, fear and conflict, it may be tempting to look away.
But as believers, we are reminded to pray.
The Bible says:
“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.”
— Psalm 122:6
And:
“If I forget thee, O Jerusalem…”
— Psalm 137:5
We don't pray because everything that happens in the land is easy to understand.
We don't pray because we agree with every person, government or decision.
We pray because God tells us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
We pray for the innocent.
We pray for families.
We pray for those who are afraid.
We pray for those who are suffering.
We pray for wisdom for leaders.
We pray for peace in Jerusalem and throughout the region.
So no… we do not turn away.
We remember Jerusalem.
We pray.
We stand on God's Word.
🕊️ “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.”
Psalm 122:6
