A little tropical inspiration work in progress
Today is all about stepping outside my usual palette and embracing the beauty of the tropics. I’ve chosen a vibrant tropical theme for this piece inspired by lush greenery, deep blues, sunshine and that feeling of being surrounded by nature.

There’s something so special about creating alongside fellow artists, sharing ideas, laughter and inspiration while the view becomes part of the artwork itself.
A new place, a new chapter, and a new painting coming to life.
Here’s to following the inspiration wherever it takes me.

Some paintings are meant to be sold. Others are meant to stay.
“Where the Ocean Meets the Wild” is one I’m keeping for myself.
It holds something I needed to capture the wildness of the coastline, the movement of the water, and that feeling of standing somewhere between freedom and stillness.
Maybe not every painting needs a new home. Sometimes the artist needs to keep a little piece of what they created. 💙

Where the Ocean Meets the Wild

There’s something about the ocean that makes you feel both completely small and completely free.
This piece grew out of movement crashing waves, distant mountains, wild coastal growth and those little flashes of golden warmth amongst all the blue.
I didn’t want to paint the sea perfectly. I wanted to paint how the sea feels.
Loose brushstrokes, layers of colour and a little bit of wildness.

Practising the River Mouth

Sometimes you have to go back to basics putting brush to paper, experimenting with movement, colour and flow before taking it to the canvas.
Today’s little study is me practising the river mouth on paper learning how the water moves, where the waves break, and how the landscape comes together.
Not finished.
Every painting starts with a little practice, a little curiosity, and a willingness to play.
