Eugene “Gene” Lewis is born in South Africa and has grown up in Knysna in the Garden Route in one of the most beautiful provinces in South Africa, the Western Cape. From 1998 Eugene Lewis worked for Tribal Africa, a company in Knysna and has started his own pottery designs in 2004. His way of living is inspired by nature, his local roots and his rastafarian religion, which he proudly displays in h

is artwork. As a volunteer, Gene Lewis is working in the local Khayalethu trail, which is one of the areas surrounding Knysna. He also spends time with street and disadvantaged kids in the community teaching pottery and art classes. His art portfolio shows the spirit of South Africa in a way that is unique to the eye of a local. The patterns in his designs and paintings is special and shows his love for detail.
