Based across the Meyerton and Evaton West communities, Lerato does double the good: providing a safe haven for 20 abused and neglected children (ages 3–18), alongside running a vital day care for infants and toddlers from underprivileged families. 👶🍼

The dedicated caregivers work absolute miracles with limited resources. But the fading paint and cold tile floors need an urgent upgrade. With the winter chill here, installing wall-to-wall cozy carpets will keep the crawling infants and growing children safe and warm without relying on hazardous space heaters. It will also help the day care comply with government subsidy requirements! 🧸❄️

Born from a lifelong dream and a passion for Early Childhood Development, Sonvangertjies Speelgroep is a faith-driven playgroup that has spent the last 8 years providing a safe, loving, play-based environment for children aged 2 to 5. 🧸🎈

Founder Andrit gives her absolute all to these families, providing deep personal attention to every child. With the winter cold sweeping in, the playgroup is desperately trying to raise funds to install warm carpets in the classrooms to protect the little ones while they play on the floor. Established in 2007, On Eagle's Wings Multi-purpose Centre facilitates holistic healing for victims and survivors of gender-based violence (GBV). 💜

They are the only shelter specifically tackling the GBVF national crisis in the Sarah Baartman District. They recently moved into a larger house in Joubertina, allowing them to house vulnerable women and children for up to six months. However, renovation funds are completely depleted. A floor and paint makeover will create a beautiful, comforting space where healing can happen—and they plan to acknowledge this life-changing gift right on their boundary wall! 🧱🌸

While they've upgraded their dormitories, the kitchen and dining hall—the absolute heart of the home—are in urgent need of help. The vinyl floors are completely worn out, and the ceilings are deteriorating. The home is currently raising R100,000 just to fix the structural safety of the ceilings.
