🚗 WHY DO CAR ROOF LININGS SAG?

Ever wondered why the roof lining in your VW Polo Vivo — or many other vehicles — starts hanging down over time?

It’s usually not the fabric itself. Most automotive roof linings have a foam layer between the fabric and the backing board. Over time, heat, sunlight, humidity and age cause this foam and its adhesive to deteriorate. Eventually, the foam breaks down and the fabric loses its bond with the board.
