The watercolour brand that found a way to 𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞! Well in this case, a tube! ✨🌸

Daniel Smith’s story begins in **1976** at the University of Washington in Seattle. At the time, its founder, Daniel Smith, was working at the school’s printing press where the school newspaper was produced.

Unsatisfied with the startdard of ink, Daniel produced his own! Which was then used to print the school newspaper.

The ink was so beautiful that the art department started placing very large orders for it. It was then that Daniel thought he could be a full-time paint maker…

This obsession for beautiful quality material has carried through into the brand as it exists today!
