The details make the space. ​

A closer look at artist Yay Abe bringing Spotify’s Joburg HQ to life with a bespoke mural. Created as part of the locally crafted details throughout the space, the artwork adds colour, character and a distinctly local touch to the workplace.​

Trend Group delivered the fitout, working closely with Spotify’s Workplace Design & Build team and HesseKleinloog.​

For the headquarters of a leading hospitality brand in Egypt, SOMABAY reflects a balance of sophistication, functionality, and day-to-day performance.

The refurbishment and extension introduced refreshed spaces, with the palette shifting towards deeper, more refined finishes.
Featuring darker timber tones, layered textures, and subtle green accents complemented by understated metallic detailing.

When Spotify launched its Regional Hub for Sub-Saharan Africa, the brief extended far beyond a conventional office fit-out.
Designed to celebrate local culture while reflecting the energy of a global digital brand, the space balances creativity and functionality.

Behind the scenes, the project required significant technical coordination, including specialist acoustic treatments, integrated lighting solutions, and a sustainability-led approach to delivery.
