They should see a reduction on their electricity bill of around R25000+ for the year just on these 15 Lamps !!!

So here at Neotech we were messing around with some numbers.

And we came up with some interesting facts.

The e40 100w LED Corn Cob is used as a replacement for the e40 400w Metal Halide Lamps.

The cost of of running 15 metal Halide Lamps ( the average at most garages ) is R92.88 per 12 hour day based on the price of electricity being R1.29 per KWh (on average). That's R33901.20 a year in most cases as garages generally run 365 days a year.

With the LED equivalent you use R23.22 per 12 hour day, which is R8475.30 per 365 day year.

That's a saving of R25425.90 per year on electricity alone 😲

That's half the cost of the lights returned in just one year.. The lamps will pay themselves off in 2 years and should last well over 30000..

In the 30000hours it will save R174150.00 at current electricity pricing... and keep in mind that Eskom just keeps coming with the tariff increases.

We did a retrofit on the high bay lights at National Autostyle (Sasol Garage)- 574 Church Street, Pietermaritzburg.
We used some impressive LED lamps as a replacement.
