A Cross-Cultural Journey

Inspired by the extraordinary trees, foliage and landscapes I encounter while working across Africa, I wanted to explore how these botanical forms might find expression within the rich tradition of the Suzani.

Leaves collected during my travels were carefully preserved, scanned and transformed into botanical drawings. Working with skilled draftsmen and gifted artisans in India, these forms were developed into
large-scale embroidered compositions, with
hand-dyed wool creating a palette inspired by the colours of the African landscape.

The result is a personal dialogue between African landscapes, contemporary design and the remarkable heritage of Suzani craftsmanship, created with deep respect for the tradition and the artisans whose knowledge and skill bring each piece to life.

My heartfelt thanks to my dear friend Haseena Wanderlust Collectables for your invaluable contribution and for being such an integral part of this process, helping to communicate my ideas and vision with the gifted artisans with such care and understanding.

These pieces are, for me, a journey translated into cloth. Acelebration of craftsmanship, cultural exchange and the inspiration that can emerge when we approach different traditions with curiosity, humility and respect.

Colour has such a powerful influence on the way we experience a space.

It can shape our mood, create a sense of calm or energy, draw us in, make us feel connected, and even influence the way we move through a room.

As designers, colour is one of the most beautiful tools we have. It can transform a space, bring personality to a room and create an atmosphere that feels uniquely yours.

The new Dulux Colour Palette for 2027 is simply beautiful. I love the balance, depth and versatility within the palette, and I’m already imagining all the ways these colours can be brought into our interiors in the year ahead.

I’m excited to see where these colours take us in 2027. 🎨

Crewel work speaks so beautifully to me .

It adds layering, texture, history, story and presence.

There is something wonderfully soulful about its intricate hand-stitched patterns and rich, tactile wool, with each piece carrying a sense of craftsmanship and time. In a home, crewel work adds warmth, depth and character, creating layers that feel collected rather than contrived, and bringing a quiet sense of history and story into the spaces we live in.

A lifetime of looking, learning, travelling, collecting and creating.

My style has been shaped by family heritage, a lifetime of curiosity, and an enduring love of beautiful, unusual things.

I’ve always believed that the things we surround ourselves with should tell a story ~ collected over time, chosen with care, and loved for what makes them special.

There are many ways to capture attention these days, but I’ve always felt most comfortable letting the things I love speak for themselves.

No fuss. No pretence. Just beautiful things, found with love and brought together in a way that feels entirely our own.

Did I say purple?

As purple, in all its glorious shades, finds its way into interiors and fashion, think of it as a moment, not a commitment.

A little purple can add depth, intrigue and just the right amount of unexpected character.

And for me, the dirtier the shade, the better. Moody, muted, & slightly mysterious.

Believe me, I’ve given it a go!

A Special Day!

End of winter at home. The gardens are slowly turning a lively green, the patio is filled with beautiful natural light, and there’s the first promise of spring in the air, with fresh flowers in shades of pink, orange and lilac.

An alfresco lunch on the patio with friends, good food, sunshine and plenty of time to linger.

Just one of those simple, beautiful days at home that feels special.
