With this stunning office revamp nearing completion, Tahlia is on site working through the final snags, checking finishes, resolving the last few details and liaising directly with the subcontractors who have helped bring the design to life.

It’s this part of the process that often happens behind the scenes. Walking the space, having the conversations and making sure what was designed translates properly into the finished product.

Taking living to a whole new level.😍

A little look at what we’ve been working on for an additions and alterations project in one of Cape Town’s exclusive residential estates.

And this one is all about the details.🀌🏼

When we put together 3Ds like these, we aren’t filling the rooms with generic furniture and finishes simply to make the images look good. The pieces you see have been selected for this home. The furniture, lighting, finishes, stone, joinery and fittings are actual products that form part of the interior design.

It means our clients get to see a pretty accurate picture of where we’re heading before it all starts coming together on site.

There’s a lot happening in this home, but the palette has been kept warm and fairly restrained, with timber, stone and softer finishes running throughout to maintain a timeless aesthetic. And when Table Mountain is sitting in the background like that, you really don’t need to compete with it.

We have a feeling this one is going to be pretty special.

A little sneak peek at one of our latest corporate interiors in Cape Town. 😍

This was a project we were involved in from the very beginning, taking it from the initial concept, design and spatial planning right through to on site project management and the final handover.

And we had some fun with this one! Bold colour, custom details and spaces designed for people to meet, work, take a break and recharge.

Following on from our first look at this St Francis Canals renovation, we’re moving into some of the more private spaces in the home.

For the living room and bedroom, the focus was really on how these spaces should feel. Comfortable, relaxed and somewhere you genuinely want to spend time.

We carried the terracotta floors through and worked with warm timber, natural textures and softer finishes to give these rooms their own character while still feeling connected to the rest of the home.

The bedroom flows through to the dressing area and bathroom, where the same approach continues. Nothing feels overly done or too precious. It’s warm, easy and suited to the relaxed way of life in St Francis.

A home should look good, but more importantly, it should feel good to live in.

Warm timber finishes, bold feature elements, integrated planting and carefully selected furniture come together to create a professional environment that feels welcoming from the moment you walk through the door.

Seeing a project come together after weeks of planning, coordination and on site collaboration is always rewarding. Every finish, every detail and every decision plays a part in creating a space that works as intended.

Corporate spaces don’t have to feel corporate.

For this new Cape Town office, the canteen was designed as a lively social hub where employees can step away from their desks, recharge, connect and enjoy a change of pace.

The company’s CI is bold, combining bright orange, royal blue and green. Instead of applying all three colours in the same way, we looked at how each could contribute to the experience of the space. Orange and blue create strong moments through the furniture, acoustic panels and feature elements, while green is introduced more naturally through planting and the living wall.

The bold wallpaper brings another layer of personality, wrapping through the space and reflecting the confidence and energy of the brand. Circular forms, playful lighting, acoustic treatments and a mix of seating options add to the relaxed atmosphere, creating a canteen that feels less like a traditional staff kitchen and more like a place people actually want to spend time in.

Because workplace design isn’t only about where people work. It’s also about creating spaces that allow them to switch off, connect and come back recharged.

Have you ever walked into an office that looks good, but somehow feels cold, flat or uncomfortably noisy?

The materials within the space could be part of the reason.

Modern workplaces often feature glass, concrete, tiles and other hard surfaces. While these create a clean, contemporary aesthetic, too many can leave a space feeling stark and allow sound to bounce around the room.

This is where texture and material selection become important. A space should not only be visually appealing, it should create a tactile experience too. Timber, textured fabrics, upholstery and layered finishes bring warmth, depth and character to an interior.

Correctly used acoustic panelling can do the same. Beyond absorbing sound and reducing echo, softer textured surfaces can create a sense of warmth and comfort, almost β€œhugging” you as you enter the room.

The key is understanding how materials work together visually, acoustically and physically. The right combination can make a space quieter, warmer and far more inviting. Because good interior design is not only about what you see. It is about what you hear, what you touch and, ultimately, how a space makes you feel.
