Can you believe that the cream couches were all existing. The layout was just wrong, and not enough contrast and texture to make them pop! 🤍

We opened up and simplified the fireplace wall, replacing the dated cabinetry and brickwork with a clean, contemporary feature finished in a black stone tile. Integrated log and book storage, and subtle lighting add warmth and interest without clutter.

Then came the layers — a beautiful rug, wood and brass coffee tables, soft linen sheers, subtle print scatters, floor lamp, pot plant and a few pieces of decor.

Sometimes it’s not about changing the entire footprint — it’s about seeing the potential in what’s already there.

The first thing to go was the peach paint. We then updated the fireplace to create a beautiful feature that wrapped around this central wall. The beautiful black stone tile contrasted with the oak makes my heart so happy 😍

We updated the flooring to oak laminate, installed sheer curtains, reupholstered the dining chairs, installed a new pendant light and reframed their existing artwork 🤎

My client might have said it looks like a high end boutique hotel.

After >>> Before Guest Bathroom

It took a small amount of persuasion, and a lot of trust for my clients to go ahead with this beautiful Italtile Salvia Green Pullido porcelain slab.

At 2.8m x 1.2m big, it made the perfect size for this ledge wall running the length of the bathroom. Functionally, this ledge wall serves to hide the toilet cistern, the plumbing for water and drainage and plak place for decor, soaps etc.

Thank you to my wonderful clients for being brave, and going big and bold 💚
