Introducing the Miniature Quilt Category.
Small in every measure. Large in every intention.
A true miniature is a scaled-down quilt, not merely a small one. With no hint of scale, it should still read as full-sized.
Made by one person · no side longer than 60 cm · blocks no larger than 10 cm · pieced, appliquéd, or both · hand or machine quilted · 5 cm sleeve on the top back.
Enter the piece that looks large until you stand beside it.

Introducing Group (GRP) Standard & Master quilt competition category.
Many hands. One quilt. One name on the wall.
A guild or group made the piece together — five or more active members, one shared work. This is not a pile of blocks that happened to meet. This is the quilt the room made together.
Enter the work your guild can stand beside

Introducing Collaborative - Standard and Master (COL) quilt competition category
Up to four makers. One quilt — shared decisions, shared stitching, a piece that only exists because more than one person said yes.
Enter the work you finished together.

Introducing Art – Masters quilt competition category
This is the category for the Master quilter working as an artist.
Pictorial, abstract, or conceptual — or more than one at once. The point is intention: a quilt that holds as art.
Your own design, or one drawn from the public domain. One maker. Fibre and cloth at the heart of it. Stitching through all three layers. Not decoration alone.
Enter the quilt that asks to be read.

Introducing Art Abstract Standard (AAS) quilt competition category
Abstract doesn’t mean empty. It means the idea leads.
One maker. Your design. Cloth first. Stitch through all three layers.
Shape, colour, idea — no literal picture required.
Bring the idea only you can stitch.

Introducing the Art - Pictorial quilt category. A picture you can name — and still surprise you. That’s Art Pictorial – Standard (APS): people, places, things built in cloth. Not a photo on fabric. A picture built from stitch.
One maker. Your design. Any technique. Stitching through all three layers.
Enter the quilt that can be named — and still surprises.

Introducing the Traditional – Masters quilt category. One Master quilter. 50–240 cm. Pieced, appliquéd, or a conversation between the two. Kawandi, Kantha, Boro, Sashiko—and the cousins that aren’t always “quilted” in the usual sense. The quilt that could only come from a Master and could only have been made by you.
