Design Tip — Choosing Scatter Cushions

Scatter cushions are one of the easiest ways to bring life and character into a room. They add colour, texture and softness, and can completely shift the feel of a sofa or seating area without requiring a full redesign.

The key is to think about balance. Mix tones and textures that complement the room, while adding enough contrast to create interest. This helps the arrangement feel layered and considered rather than flat or repetitive.

A simple detail that makes a big difference is the cushion inner. Choosing an inner that is slightly larger than the cover creates a fuller, more polished look. As a guideline, we recommend using an inner that is 5cm larger than the cover.

Small changes can have a big impact when they are styled with intention.
