I had to share a little snippet of my day 😂

I spent the morning in my garden — honestly, it’s therapy AND exercise. I’ve never been that drenched (overshare ☺️) after gym or padel. I normally love the heat, but manual labour, dressed in black, secateurs in hand, in this boiling heat was one hellava thing.

Anyway… we watered early this morning and again this afternoon. I arrived home to a drenched patio, rug AND couch 😳 I worried for about a minute and then just laughed it off.

Luckily I have one of our outdoor rugs, which dries beautifully, and outdoor fabric from Home Fabrics South Africa on my couches which is an absolute dream. Even our sugar cane ash — aka Zululand snow — literally just wipes straight off.

If there’s a waterline on the rug tomorrow, I’ll show you how I sort it out.

PS. These pics are NOT from today. I was one hellava sight that I promise you didn’t need to see 😂

I absolutely love a hook. It’s those simple, useful little details around a home that somehow make it feel more lived-in and loved.

A dish towel hanging in the kitchen, bath towels in the bathroom, your favourite handbag by the door, or a beautiful hat or woven basket hung simply as part of the décor. Coats, scarves, bags… honestly, the uses are endless.
