We’re making room for something new and close to our hearts — interactive furniture workshops!

From identifying antiques and understanding solid wood vs. veneer to furniture care, repurposing and styling, we’ll be sharing practical skills and a few tricks of the trade.

These beautiful, traditional Afrikana chairs are crafted from yellowwood and stinkhout, with lovely turned legs and classic ladder backs.

The original wooden frames have been carefully stripped, re-varnished and waxed, while the riempies have been replaced, bringing these old favourites back to life while retaining their beautiful aged patina.

Perfect around a farmhouse dining table or in a country-style kitchen.

This impressive antique oak desk, dating back to circa 1890–1910, is full of character, with its beautiful S-curve sides, original wooden handles, carved detailing and traditional roll-top design.

The pigeonholes, filing compartments and generous drawer space make it as practical as it is handsome.

We can picture it in an executive office, a study, a restaurant or even a charming old-fashioned shop. Add a Persian rug and a few antique books, and you might just find yourself looking forward to Monday mornings. 📚

Please note: The roll-top has some damage and requires restoration.
The price is negotiable if purchased before restoration.

Michelle bought these three quirky chickens from Mebel and they’ve officially retired to their new home in Stanhaven.

Meet Ken, Frank & Cedric! 3 Handsome fellas, one very happy new home… and we’re pretty sure they’ve already taken over the garden! 🐔🌿

We LOVE seeing our Mebel treasures finding their people and these three definitely found theirs! 🫶
