Introducing a new Girls’ School Residence!

Inspired by its surroundings, the design responds to a heritage context of historic red brick buildings and a sandstone church, creating a façade that is sensitive to its setting while expressing a contemporary identity.

The design hints at heritage through colour and form, without directly replicating it.
A muted brick palette, elegant arches, and soft planting create a feminine façade with warmth and timeless character.

Introducing the Balule Grietjie Lodge.
The structures sit lightly along the contours of the site, comprising of a communal area and four small pods. Each is carefully oriented to frame views while maintaining privacy, allowing every unit to experience the tranquillity of the landscape.

The client’s brief was clear: family-friendly, maintenance-free, and contextually sensitive. The response is a curved stone wall that binds the structures together, forming a meandering walkway between the units. Simple, functional, and honest in its expression and materiality, the architecture establishes a grounded sense of place within the bushveld.

From the infinity pool to the carefully curated, upgraded finishes, every element is designed to unlock the home’s full potential, where contemporary architecture is thoughtfully integrated with its natural setting. This position is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for both administrative support and creative marketing.

Requirements:

• Strong organisational & multitasking abilities
• Proficient in basic computer applications
(Microsoft office, excel, outlook & Canva)
• Professional appearance & positive attitude
• Experience with Xero accounting software is preferred but not essential.
