I design and create quality leather products ranging from belts, bags, home decor, fashion accessories, baby shoes, curios to corporate gifts, key rings and many more. When I decided to make my own flip-flops, I knew I could expect either flip-flops or only flops. Flip, now I have flip-flops! It could go either way. I am ready to tackle the next pair. 🤩💞
I choose the snake print leather I bought in Istanbul and lined it with the soft lining I bought in Fes, Morocco. I can wear these anytime and anywhere and they will match any outfit or occasion.

I can't explain how thrilled I am with this new belt design. I have a very special friend who had a very special birthday last Wednesday. I wanted to make her a belt and it had to be special. I wanted to make something absolutely unique and creative, like her. As a leather crafter herself, I had to come up with something very original. This belt is now named the Mari belt. The options, colours and designs are endless and the best all is one size fits all. Keep an eye on me and Mari as many unique designs and belts are to follow.

Hierdie gewilde handsak met die baie binne- en buitesakke het ek sopas klaargemaak. Die denimblou is treffend mooi. Heimlik weet ek hierdie handsak gaan gou 'n baas kry. Eintlik is dit baie ongewoon vir my om 'n handsak te maak wat nie op bestelling is nie, maar toe ek die kleur volstruisleer sien, toe weet ek, maak moet ek hom maak. Môre maak ek nog een, net groter, maar ook so mooi.

Die grootste handsak wat ek nog gemaak het. Gits, dis nogal 'n reuse mylpaal op my pad wat ek al vir 50 jaar met leer stap. Soms kom daar 'n plan of idee oor my pad. Ek kan dit ignoreer tot op 'n punt, maar dan is daar geen keer. Soos die sluis van 'n oorvol dam moet dit oop en uit. Maak gaan ek hom maak. Hoekom weet nugter...... dalk net omdat ek kan.
Pak jou hele lewe in 'n sak! Dis ongelooflik hoe plat en glad hy langs jou lyf hang en as jy hom oopmaak, is hy so groot soos 'n balie. Lekker vir die shoppers en travellers. Ek hoor graag wat julle d**k.

Wow! Time flies. It is already the the last week in March. The fact that I didn't post what I am doing in the workshop, doesn't mean I wasn't working. On the contrary, I was so busy that I didn't have the time to post. In many instances I didn't even have time take pictures. I didn't have time for playing around with new ideas, but I was only working on orders. So, here are a few images of what I was up to.

Die mark by die Gereformeerde kerk, Reservoirstraat 7 is regtig iets besonders met 'n lekker atmosfeer, oorspronklike en kreatiewe produkte. Baie dankie aan almal wat ons reeds ondersteun het en almal wat dit nog in die volgende twee dae gaan doen. Ons waardeer ook al die goeie en positiewe terugvoer. Ons geniet ook al die navrae van almal wat uitsien na Leersaam se klasse volgende jaar. Ons wens vir almal wat ons hierdie jaar ondersteun het en met ons saamgewerk het, 'n mooi en geseënde Feestyd toe. Dit was 'n heerlike jaar en ons sien uit na 2026.

Hier word hard gewerk om reg te wees vir die mark van 17 tot 19 Desember by die kerk in Reservoirstraat 7, Stilbaai. Saam met Everlasting Leather en Leersaam gaan daar baie leerprodukte wees om van te kies. Altesaam gaan daar 38 uitstallers wees met unieke en kreatiewe produkte.

I changed the packaging of the high quality leather food in my Leather Care range to be bigger, better and much easier to use. A little leather food on a soft clean cloth can take you far to care for your leather goods, it might be your leather furniture, car seats, handbags or belts. This popular leather food will pe*****te deeply into to leather and keep the fibres soft and flexible and prevent the leather to become dry and brittle. My own cream colour leather lounge suite will get their treatment tomorrow before the festive season. This product will be available at my workshop from tomorrow, at the Country Shop/Kontreiwinkel from Tuesday and also at the church market. It is also the perfect gift for anyone who cares about their leather seats and accessories.

Dit sal my eerste stalletjie in jare wees. Ek is nogal opgewonde om deel van hierdie geleentheid te wees.
Ek en Mari gaan ook van LeerSaam se produkte daar hê. Mari Everts bring ook haar produkte, Everlasting Leather, saam. Ons werk nou hard om bestellings en voorraad klaar te maak. Ons maak 'n formidabele span en deur saam te werk, inspireer ons mekaar met unieke en kreatiewe idees en produkte terwyl ons baie lag en pret het. Dit word weerspieël in ons produkte.
