Before you arrive, plan the practical bits.

Decorex Cape Town is better when you do a little planning before you get to the CTICC. Not a military operation. Just enough to make the day easier.

Buy your ticket before you arrive. Download the Decorex app. Use it to find exhibitors, check what’s on, plan around your favourite features and talks, and keep track of the parts of the floor you don’t want to miss.

That way you give yourself more time to enjoy the show, and skip the parking altogether. Go straight to ticket scanning, coffee, meeting friends and finding your first stop.

The Bedroom Project: Atmospheres of Joy | For Decorex Cape Town 2026, we’re reimagining the bedroom as more than a room for sleep.

Part of this year’s Soft Life theme, The Bedroom Project explores the bedroom as a place of retreat, restoration and emotional ease. Through layered textiles, acoustic softness, warm light, sculptural forms and sensory detail, three installations consider how the most private room in the home can become a sanctuary of comfort, joy and daily ritual.

This year’s feature brings together three designed bedroom experiences:

Bedroom Project 1
CW Interiors + Simmons South Africa
A soft, sculptural and quietly refined bedroom shaped by organic textures, gentle curves, warm light and calm luxury.

Bedroom Project 2
Linen Drawer, Misi Overturf Creative + Genessi Beds
A tactile study in cocooning, linen and emotional softness, inspired by the journey from natural fibre to sanctuary.

Bedroom Project 3
Love local
Baby and toddler rooms designed to grow with little ones, rooted in natural fibres, handmade African artistry, sustainable materials and spaces made for memory.

Together, the installations look at how the right mattresses, provided by Tafelberg Furnishers, the right materials and the right atmosphere can transform rest into a richer daily ritual.

Cape Town, we’re staying out late.

The full Decorex After Hours programme is now live, taking Decorex and 100% Design Africa beyond the CTICC and into the city for a week of design-led evenings, special gatherings and late-night moments.

Across the programme, expect wine, music, scent, food, art and conversation in some of Cape Town’s favourite spaces, from Aperitif on Bree and Gozdava 1590 to Club Kloof, Our Local, The Athletic Club & Social and Youngblood Africa.

Many After Hours events are free to attend with a Decorex ticket, while selected experiences require booking. Visit the link in our bio to explore the full programme, check event details and secure your tickets.

The Decorex Africa Awards return to Cape Town.

Hosted this year in partnership with House & Leisure House and Leisure, the invite-only awards evening will take place on Thursday, 25 June at the CTICC’s Roof Terrace Room, bringing together the designers, makers, exhibitors and creative leaders shaping the industry now.

This year, 10 accolades will be presented, including the Capitec Rising Star Award, the City of Cape Town City of Cape Town Best Local Exhibitor Award, the Lexus Design Award, the House & Leisure Editor’s Eye Award, and the Best Overall Stand for Decorex Cape Town 2026.

The evening will be hosted by Bathandwa Ngwendu, with Decorex Africa and 100% Design Africa joint Executive Creative Directors Garreth van Niekerk and Alan Hayward joining the stage to honour this year’s winners.

With music by DJ MAMi WAtA, the event will be brought to life through a creative collaboration with Zest & Co and the House & Leisure team, with support from Mira Blom, Jozi Customs and Wolkberg Casting Studios.

Follow along as we celebrate the people and projects setting the tone for contemporary African design.

Their participation forms part of Decorex Africa’s wider relationship with Maison&Objet: a connection built around visibility, exchange and new pathways for design from South Africa and the continent.
