Waterbrook Retirement Resort in Bowral

It’s all in the layout.

For the spa, our full-body porcelain tessellated tile was laid in a precise linear grid, creating a continuous rhythm across the floor.

The elongated format draws the eye through the space, while the consistent spacing keeps the pattern feeling clean and considered. Rather than introducing a bold decorative motif, the layout gives the floor a subtle architectural quality - allowing the timber, upholstery and natural light to sit comfortably alongside it.

A tessellated floor designed to bring structure, rhythm and balance to the space.

A closer look at the full-body porcelain tessellated tile used throughout the spa at Waterbrook.

Selected in a rich green, the tile carries colour through the entire body of the porcelain, creating a depth and consistency that works beautifully within the space.

The deep green sits naturally alongside the warm timber, earthy upholstery and soft natural light, adding a grounded layer of colour without overwhelming the room. Laid in a fine tessellated grid, the pattern introduces rhythm and texture while allowing the surrounding materials to remain part of the story.

A timeless tessellated form, reinterpreted in a rich contemporary green.

A considered approach to colour, texture and pattern in the spa at Waterbrook’s beauty salon.

Working alongside designer Lorena Gaxiola, we created custom finger mosaics from our tessellated tile in green, bringing a refined layer of colour and movement to the space.

The green works beautifully against the deeper flooring and warm timber, while complementing the organic botanical artwork throughout the room. The result is a palette that feels grounded and restorative - perfectly suited to a space designed around relaxation and wellbeing.

A custom application of our tessellated tile, created specifically for the space.

Behind the scenes at Waterbrook Retirement Resort, Bowral.

After supplying the tiles for this commercial project, Carmelo Bagnato, founder of Tessellated Tile Factory, returned to Waterbrook to see the finished spaces brought to life.

We were joined on site by , our videographer, who helped us capture the project and bring the vision behind the spaces to life.

From the moment you enter, the details tell the story. Our Deco Lilly Embossed Tile was supplied for the entrance, creating a statement staircase and first impression.

In the bar, a custom tessellated mosaic pattern was created using our tessellated tiles, while our M11 and M14 mosaics were used throughout the two wet areas.

For us, supplying a commercial project is about more than simply providing tiles. It’s about making sure the finished result reflects the standards we bring to every project:

Quality. Tradition. Style. Craftsmanship.
