Guild member Amanda has let us know that she has a piece (not shown) in 's current Exhibit - Floras Localis: Colour + Place.

In their words:

Floras Localis: Colour + Place brings together practitioners connected by a shared exploration of colour, materiality and place. Combining natural dyeing and circular design methodologies, the works develop hyper-local palettes drawn directly from the Australian landscape through foraged, found, and reclaimed materials.

Exhibit is on until Saturday, July 11, 2026 at the Australian Tapestry Workshop
Open Thursday to Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm
262-266 Park Street, South Melbourne

In June the Sheep Breed Study Group will be working with Polwarth, the first breed we will look at to originate in Australia. A talk will be given on their origins and characteristics, and discussions will be had on ways we can use their wool while we prep and spin a sample.

Polwarth does well combed, carded and spun from the lock , so bring your preffered fribre prep tools, and don’t forget your wheel or spindle.

Open to Guild Members only. Cost - Standard $5 interest group fee + $5 materials cost.
