Burnished 23k gold spheres for an antique frame restoration

23/10/2026

A recent restoration of this ornate frame for a portrait of the award winning yearling Rosario the bull. The frame had a large amount of previous repairs from long ago that lacked definition, so we removed these and replaced them along with the corner ornaments. The repairs were gilded and blended to match in with the original gilt finish. This frame was originally made by Adam Robertson and Sons, Painters and Gilders. Swipe to see the whole process and the very fancy plaque ✨
