Time to brighten up! ☀️

We're so pleased with the final results of this project in Dingley Village The two bay windows have been framed beautifully by wavefold sheers made of Nettex's Bali in Driftwood sitting pretty on their custom bent tracks. They're a perfect fit!

Peeking out from behind these curtains are block out rollers made using Qube in Rock. These have been automated with a suite of Somfy Zigbee motors controlled through a TaHoma switch. This means our customer can let the sunny days into their home at the touch of a button.

Peep these undeniably chic sheers 😎

We must admit, when a customer approaches us with black sheer curtains in mind, it is an exciting prospect for us. Why? Because we know we're going to get big results.

Wall-to-wall coverage has created a feature that feels right at home with the monochromatic colour scheme. This is refined, impactful and not like anything else. The overall effect is especially eye-catching with the sculptural finish of a wavefold curtain.

The fabric here is also something you don't see every day. We used Maurice Kain's Woolamai in Onyx, a softly textured sheer with grain that diffuses light like a dream. Most people couldn't imagine a black drape making a room seem so warm!

One year since we relaunched our showroom! 🥂

What a year it’s been. Our displays have grown, countless lovely people have walked through our doors, and we’ve learned so much along the way.

Looking back, we’re incredibly proud of how far we’ve come. We might be a small team, but we’re a mighty one, united by a genuine passion for what we do and a commitment to delivering the very best to our customers.

A special congratulations to Carmen and Darrin, whose drive, dedication and hard work have been at the heart of everything we’ve achieved since the relaunch. What an amazing job you’ve both done!

To everyone who has visited, supported or been part of our journey over the past year, thank you.

This is to a job well done!

We love pitching in to make a new build into something special. When Fabric Creations were approached to kit out this home with curtains, we were instantly excited.

The pitch? Wall-to-wall wavefold sheers and a custom bent track to dress a spectacular entryway. The outcome? A light veil that doesn't completely cut the homeowners off from their green space. Yet again, Nettex's Bali in Pearl came in clutch, gently enfolding the home in a serene glow.

Heading for success 🎯

An excellent curtain design is all in the details! We’re not just talking fabric or colour. The curtain heading (a.k.a. the tippy top of the drape) can completely change the way your space feels. We go into depth about this in our latest from the News at FC blog, but here’s the highlights:

An open & shut job in Parkdale 🚪

We consider ourselves very lucky to be able to have the impact we have in people's homes. This time we helped a customer fill a need for privacy and controlling morning sun throughout the day. The order of the day was 15 shutters and one very lovely wavefold sheer curtain made using James Dunlop's Antipodes fabric in Oyster.

As pretty as the curtain is, we do think the star of the show in this case is the shutters. Look at how well work with the façade of this home. Talk about street appeal! We know our customer will love coming home to these windows.

Zipscreens are the answer!💡

How do I cut heat to a room? Zipscreens. How do I make my time outside more sun smart? Zipscreens. What's the best way to enclose my alfresco area? Zipscreens.

For this job in Bentleigh East, we provided three spring-controlled Zipscreens made using Nolan's Vistaweave 99 in Ebony. These were cleverly configured to create a walkway, which means we also supplied and installed a post to accommodate this design.

At Fabric Creations, we love our in-house installers almost as much as we love beautiful window furnishings. We truly couldn’t do it without them!

They’re the talented technicians that get every job done, and we’re so grateful for all the care, skill and pride they put into their work.
