Creating a commercial space is about more than selecting finishes and furniture. It’s about understanding a business, its people and the experience it wants to create for clients.

For this accounting firm’s third office renovation, our role extended from colour selection and spatial planning through to the design of the reception area and meeting spaces. Every decision was made with their brand, functionality and client experience in mind.

Receiving feedback like this is a reminder of why I do what I do. Taking the time to truly understand a client’s vision allows us to create spaces that not only look beautiful but also support the way they work and connect with their customers.

One of the biggest mistakes I see homeowners make is choosing furniture, colours and finishes simply because they’re trending. While trends come and go, a thoughtfully designed home that reflects you will always feel timeless.

The most successful interiors aren’t necessarily the most expensive or the most fashionable—they’re the ones that tell a story and feel authentic to the people who call them home.

Choose a Hero Material

A reminder that feature stone doesn’t always need to be used everywhere to make an impact.

In this bathroom, the green stone becomes the hero, drawing your eye through the space while the softer surrounding finishes allow it to shine.

It’s a great example of balance in design — creating a statement without overwhelming the room.

Why is choosing artwork so hard?

Because it’s not just about finding a piece you like.

Artwork influences the mood of a room, reinforces your colour palette, and can completely change how a space feels.

For this project, I’ve shortlisted four options that all meet the brief:

✔️ Warm, neutral tones
✔️ Timeless appeal
✔️ Works with the brass accents and overall palette
✔️ Creates a focal point within the entrance

The interesting part? While they all work, each artwork tells a slightly different story.

- Option 1 feels warm and grounded.
- Option 2 feels soft and sophisticated.
- Option 3 introduces a subtle touch of colour and depth.
- Option 4 feels calm and understated

This wardrobe was completely reimagined to maximise storage, improve functionality, and create a more cohesive aesthetic.

By incorporating custom floor-to-ceiling joinery, dedicated hanging space, drawers, and adjustable shelving, every inch now works harder while feeling lighter, brighter, and beautifully organised.

A great example of how thoughtful design can transform an everyday space into something both practical and timeless.
