We acknowledge and respect the people, the culture and the values of this land which has been nurtured and managed by traditional custodians for thousands of years. This page shares local stories. Milton township was established in 1860. Historic buildings are the setting for shops, antiques, galleries, restaurants and the Milton Theatre. Gateway to some of Australia's most beautiful landscapes, surfing beaches, vineyards and wineries.

Community 🙌

We love this little corner of the world we call home. And we love seeing our community come together to make it an even better place for the next generation.

There's been an enormous amount of passion, planning and hard work behind the community-led vision for Burrill Lake Lions Park, including the proposal for a brand-new skatepark.

It's an exciting opportunity to create something special for our local kids and teenagers. Somewhere to get outside, be active, connect with friends, build confidence and feel part of their community.

But we're not there yet.

Council is currently asking for community feedback, and this is where YOUR voice really matters.

The current infrastructure plan places a potential Burrill Lake skatepark more than 10 years into the future. We believe our young people deserve opportunities like this sooner.

So much work has already gone into getting this project to this point. Now we need our community to get behind it and help demonstrate just how important it is.

If you'd love to see a skatepark at Burrill Lake, please take a few minutes to have your say.

You don't have to be a skater. You don't even have to have kids. Just someone who believes in investing in the future of our beautiful community.
