An Arts and Crafts store with a wide range of art, craft, mixed media & specialty paper supplies. Formerly Alice in Paperland. Why did we rebrand?

Because people thought we only sold paper. Alice in Paperland is a unique business as an Arts & Crafts store with a cafe called Coffee at Alice's, gift shop, creative classes and workshops. If you are interested in anything crafty, would like to do a class or two with some awesome teachers or want to pop in for a great coffee and food, this is the place to go. The craft shop is packed with products for all craft and artist's needs and the gift shop carries finished artwork for sale which are all locally made.

What's on this week?!?

Welcome to Monday :-)

We have a more relaxed week with our regular groups meeting and a DIY day on Friday. We have a few spots left on Friday so come join us for a fun, crafty kinda day.

Tuesday 20th- SPLATTER & CHATTER ART GROUP. Get together with like minded people to socialise and create. All art styles welcome! Starts 9.30am and $7 for the day. Just bring your own gear. Must book!

Tuesday 20th- COASTAL CREATIVES Abstract Painting Group. Last year Thea ran a class on abstract painting and not only was it a great day, the class wanted to form a group because of it. Every 4th Tuesday we will have the abstract painting group coming together to create and share ideas. Waiting list only now.

Wednesday 21st- U3A Cardmaking 10am to 12 noon. You will need to book through U3A directly for the term. We have a couple f spots still available.

Thursday 22nd- ART HIVE. Every Thursday, a group of artists get together to create, share ideas and socialise. Waiting list only.

Friday 23rd DIY Work on your own project day. Anytime from 9am. Come and work on your own project with like minded people. A creative and fun day for all. $8 for the day. Light morning tea provided. Few spots available.

What's on this week?

After a huge week last week, we have a calmer one this week.

U3A Cardmaking goes back this Wednesday so if you wanted to join in, you'll need to contact them directly.

Chitter Chatter cardmaking is now booked out.

Friday- JUNK JOURNALLING 9.30 am onwards. You'll need to bring everything with you that you need. $7 for the day. A fun day of sharing and socialising.

Where did this week go?

We didn't even get to post, "What's On This Week".

Tomorrow (Friday), our Craft n' Chat is completely booked out but our afternoon Uniquely Creative "Delightful Curiosities" card kit class has a couple of spots available. If you'd like something fun to do tomorrow, this is certainly a fun class.

You receive a full kit of cards, paper, ephemera, bling, ribbon, visual instructions and guidance from our lovely Leanne. The full kit is $36, which enables you to make 10 cards minimum and up to 40 cards afterwards with the left overs. 12-12.30 start and finish by 3pm.

Coastal Creatives!

We have a number of groups who meet at our store each week but we have one group, the Coastal Creatives who often do something a little bit different. About a week ago they went on a field trip, taking photos, notes and sketching, as well as socialising of course. What they have come up with since then is absolutely amazing, which had to be shared.

They are creating so much beautiful work that they have decided to hold an exhibition here later in the year. More details soon.

What's on this week?!?

We have a busy week coming up and the shop will be open this Saturday from 9am to 12 noon.

Tuesday- Splatter and Chatter

Thursday 1st- DOUBLE POP UP DIAMOND TWIST CHRISTMAS CARD With Vicky. This is a beautiful Christmas card which is sure to impress. Pick your own Christmas papers according to your taste. $11.90 9.30 to 11am. 1 spots left

Thursday 1st- ART HIVE. Every Thursday, a group of artists get together to create, share ideas and socialise. Waiting list only.

Friday and Saturday 2nd and 3rd- GEL PRESS MONO PRINTING With Thea Horsman.

Experiment with acrylic paint on fabric or paper using the gel plate. Create prints to ultimately create a piece of art or a bag.
We will explore:
Mark making with found objects, Eco printing, Layering, Stencils and stamps
9am to 3pm on both days. $139.50.
* If you require a gel press and brayer, we have a fantastic deal for those who are enrolling. Jut $49 for an 8x10" quality gel press and 4" brayer. You get to take them home and keep after the workshops. The regular value for both is $87.99.
* We will provide you with all the papers, fabric and quality paints for the workshop. 2 spots left.

Saturday 3rd - JUNK JOURNAL GROUP 9am to 12 noon. There is no lesson on this day. Come together and work on your journals. $5

What's On This Week?!?

Besides our regular art groups, we have a DIY DAY on Friday 25th. This group is more for paper crafters but anyone is welcome.

From 9am, although you can arrive whenever you like, you can stay until the shop shuts at 3pm. This is a good day to catch up on unfinished projects, bounce ideas off other like minded people, socialise and have fun. We provide a light morning tea. House tea/coffee on the house and barista coffee will be available for purchase. You'll need to bring your own lunch if staying for the day. We have a fridge, freezer and heating facilities.

You'll need to bring your own equipment and projects and cost is $8 for the day. Must book as we're almost full. To book, either message or call our shop on 02 6581 5663.
