This year marks 4 years of Colour By Chi. 🤎
Four years of creating, learning, growing, and doing something I genuinely love.

I don’t think anything quite prepares you for running your own business. The late nights, the juggling of work, family and everything in between. The constant learning, the mistakes, the little wins and the moments where you wonder what on earth you’ve gotten yourself into!

But somewhere amongst all that chaos, I’ve built something that means so much to me.

I’ve met some incredible people, worked on beautiful homes, formed friendships and been given opportunities I never imagined when I first started.

And I think one of the biggest things these four years have taught me is to trust my instincts, my creativity and the reasons I fell in love with design in the first place. I’m still finding my feet in some ways and still dreaming of where I want to take this business of mine.

So, to every single person who has trusted me, encouraged me, recommended me, worked alongside me or simply cheered me on from the sidelines, thank you. It genuinely means more than you know.

Thank you for being here and being part of it all. X

Here’s to the last four years, all the lessons along the way and everything that’s yet to come 🥂

From pieces laid out on the floor to this beautiful, finished wall 🤎

A little glimpse into the process behind one of my favourite features at our Sanders Project. My photography skills might be subpar, but the craftsmanship certainly isn’t.

A whole lot of patience & skill goes into bringing something like this one together. So here’s to the talented hands that bring our designs to life 🍂

A little piece of nature, brought indoors 🍂

For our Sanders Project, we introduced Sandstone from Gather co bringing a beautiful sense of nature indoors.

There’s just something about natural materials and earthy palettes that I keep coming back to. They don’t have to be perfect or overly polished. It’s the raw textures, little imperfections and natural character that make them so beautiful. They just have a way of bringing warmth and soul into a home.

A little re-introduction for all the new faces around here 👋

Hi, I’m Achini, the person behind Colour by Chi.

I started this little business 4 years ago, and it’s grown and evolved so much since then. Somewhere along the way I feel like I’ve grown with it too, becoming much clearer about the homes I want to create and most importantly, the people I want to create them for.

Today I work predominantly on new homes and renovations, helping my clients make sense of the hundreds of decisions that come with creating a home.

But the more I design, the clearer I’ve become about the kind of work I want to create.

I’m drawn to homes that feel warm, organic, timeless and a little soulful. And I love working with clients who value that same approach. Clients who want to create a home that feels genuinely theirs.

Because for me, a beautiful home isn’t only about how it looks. It’s about how it feels to live there. That human side of design is something I care deeply about and probably more than ever in a world where so much is becoming digital.

So, if you’re new here, hello and welcome🤎 . And if you’ve been following along for a while, thank you for being here as this little business of mine continues to grow and evolve.

Colour by Chi feels more like me than ever, and I’m so excited about where it’s heading.

Same heart 🤎
A clearer vision.
And a whole lot more to come.
