Small-batch isn’t just a cute buzz word.
It means we can be picky about what leaves our studio. Every candle is tested, poured, labelled, packed & quality-checked by us because we genuinely care about the little things.
We’d rather make fewer candles really well, than pump out hundreds just for the sake of it.
So yes, you’re paying for wax and fragrance. But you’re also paying for a whole lot of time, testing, attention to detail, and two slightly sleep deprived candle makers who care way to much about your candle.
A good candle deserves a great personality.
We’ve renamed candles more times than we can count because we’ve learned firsthand just how much a name can change the way a scent is received.
Sometimes the fragrance itself stays exactly the same, but suddenly the right name makes you need to smell it, gives you an idea of what it feels like, and turns it from “that smells nice” into “I NEED THAT”
We’re firm believers that the name is part of the experience
And truthfully, coming up with them might be on of our favourite parts!
We know it can be hard to burn the pretty candle but we promise it was made to be lit.
Not admired from across the room while you “save it for a special occasion”
Light it while you’re making dinner.
Burn it during your bath.
Put it on while you’re reading, cleaning, working, or doing absolutely nothing.
Candles are meant to be enjoyed, not saved forever.
So stop waiting for the perfect moment and burn. the. candle.
You bought it for a reason. 😉
One of the things we admire so much about the small business community is how often people show up for one another.
We’ve been lucky enough to meet so many incredible makers, artists, entrepreneurs, and local businesses who have supported us, celebrated our wins, shared our posts, sent customers our way, and reminded us that we’re never really doing this alone.
There’s room for all of us at the table.
We don’t believe someone else’s success takes away from ours, and we’d much rather cheer each other on, collaborate, share what we’ve learned, and grow together than arrive at the top alone.
