Our youngest granddaughter, Summer, & I decided to paint her Mom & Dad’s dining room chairs during our weekly childcare day. I’ve never experienced a more engaged 3 year old in a “work-project”. She loved the cleaning, sanding & painting (albeit a fair amount of paint was cleaned up off the floor). I see home renovations in her future like just like me & Auntie Susie Fraser

Junco Studio is a bright workspace in the Coquitlam home of myself, Lynda Smith. This is where I daily create an eclectic variety of art. Junco Studio's inventory includes watercolour paintings (in gently-used frames) and home & garden decor, bags, totes, jackets made from upcycled items, scrap yarn, fabric and reclaimed cedar fencing. My passion is promoting an lifestyle, defined as actively choosing to grow, upcycle and beautify with available materials instead of purchasing new. Each market will be a fresh experience at Junco Studio, as my artistic offerings flow with the seasons and the thrifted treasures that cross my path.

Thank you to Kathy Hats&More for donating her scraps of fabric to Junco Studio. I had a lot of fun with these red swatches. You can find Kathy and her creations at Haney Farmers Market on Saturdays in Maple Ridge.

Thank you to all the customers & friends who stopped in at the Coquitlam Farmers Market yesterday! I sold a little bit of everything… paintings, prints, bookmarks, coin purses, crocheted blanket, Jean jackets, upcycled denim bags, pooch pouches and ALL of my small cedar planter boxes thanks to Lucky Sun Farm promoted them filled with her gorgeous herb pots! That means I’ll be back in the workshop this we building with reclaimed fence boards 🪚🔨🪴Come on out to Port Moody Farmers Market on Wednesday Sept 16 and sign up for my Soap Making demonstration 🧼🛁🫧 and I hope to see you again on Sunday Sept 20 Farmers Market - donations of old jeans & denim greatly appreciated.

Thank you to all the customers and friends who came out to the Coquitlam Farmers Market yesterday. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations and especially those spark moments when you were so smitten with my artwork you had to buy it ♥️ but for me, markets aren't about my sales total; they're about connecting with the community, I love that very much … and also moving some inventory is great, so I can make more!!
