October Scent Spotlight: Cozy 🖤

Some scents just live up to their name.

September included the BIGGEST PO in MCC history 👀 Keep scrolling to find out where it went because this one is pretty freaking cool.

And somehow, that was only one of approximately 847 things that happened around here this month 😂

A little look at September at MCC…

📦 We packed + shipped more candles than we ever have before for one very exciting order

💍 Lots of customs! Wedding favours, baby shower candles + another batch for a local business

📸 Shabi + the fam had their turn in front of the camera

🚿 We launched something new and improved with our friends at BLAZING BOMBS… shower steamers!

🎶 There was singing (mostly Shabi). There were shenanigans. As usual.

🐐 Teeny Tiny + Cierra from Meanwhile Farm | Events and Blueberries | York Region came for another visit. Find us another workplace with surprise baby goat visits. We’ll wait.

🕯️ Advent Calendar prep officially began, which means we casually need to pour around 12,000 tiny tealights. Everything is fine.

📦 Katie + Amber got back to filming Fresh Out the Box Fridays and continued to prove that getting through a simple intro is apparently very difficult

🎃 We poured more of our MASSIVE 48 oz glass pumpkins, and you guys have already almost cleaned us out for the season!

🖤 We got to be part of TMMB | Women’s Business Events + Community’ Boardroom event

🎂 We celebrated our production goddess, Jordyn

🌳 And we spent the day vending at the opening of Newmarket’s beautiful new Mulock Park

And finally… where did that giant PO go?

BED BATH & BEYOND!!! 🥹

As they make their return to Canada, Bed Bath and Beyond Canada placed the biggest PO in MCC history, including a selection of our MCC products PLUS custom Bed Bath & Beyond branded candles made by us.

So yes… you’ll officially be able to find MCC products at Bed Bath & Beyond, and we’re still wrapping our heads around how freaking cool that is 🖤

A pretty huge milestone for our little team and one we’re really, really proud of.

September, you were a big one.

Everyone wish our Jordyn the happiest birthday! 🥳🖤

Jordyn is our youngest employee with quite possibly the oldest soul, and fun fact: she’s also the only person who came to MCC with candle-making experience.

She actually came in teaching us candle-making terminology and techniques we didn’t know yet, which was both impressive and a little humbling coming from the youngest person in the room 😂

She loves the Jonas Brothers, Ariana Grande, lasagna, pasta + pizza, and reminding the rest of us how old we are and when we’re being particularly cringe. Unfortunately, she also recently discovered she’s allergic to tomatoes, which feels especially unfair given approximately half of her favourite foods 🍅💀

She makes us laugh every day, is always down for our ridiculous videos (even if she makes fun of us the entire time), and has become such an important part of our little MCC team.

We love you so much, Jordyn, and we’re so happy you found your way to us 🖤

Two of our favourite fall things are coming together again! 🎃🍂

We’re teaming up with Brie from for the return of our Pumpkin Centrepiece + Ceramic Pumpkin Candle Workshop - a cozy evening of candle making, fresh florals and getting creative together.

You’ll start by blending your own custom fall fragrance and pouring a ceramic pumpkin candle with us. Then Brie will guide you through creating a beautiful fresh pumpkin floral centrepiece using seasonal florals + foliage.

No experience needed. Just grab your favourite people, come ready to create, enjoy some light refreshments and leave with two beautiful pieces you made yourself 🖤

We hosted this workshop for the first time last fall and both dates sold out, so we’re very excited to bring it back for another round!

Some fall scents are all pumpkin + spice. This one takes a little detour through the orchard 🍐🍂

Orchard Pear is warm, fruity and just sweet enough, blending juicy Bartlett pear with cozy cinnamon and rich brown sugar.

Think crisp autumn air, baskets of freshly picked pears and all those warm, nostalgic scents that come with harvest season. Cozy without being too heavy, and a really good one to have burning as the temperatures start to drop.
