BEFORE + AFTER | More than a renovation—this transformation began with an addition.

By expanding the home, we were able to completely rethink how the main floor looked, felt and functioned. The new living room is anchored by a sculptural fireplace, richly veined stone and perfectly balanced lighting, while generous upholstery and layers of texture give the space a sophisticated—but entirely comfortable—feeling.

A once-undefined area is now an architectural, beautifully resolved place to gather.

I’ve been a little quiet here.

Not because there hasn’t been anything happening — quite the opposite.

I lived out a dream, slowed down with Trevor, photographed some incredible new projects, found inspiration in unexpected places, and spent lots of time with family and friends.

Pretty much a dream summer.

Somewhere along the way, though, I think I started overthinking Instagram. What should I post? Is this project ready to show? Is the photo good enough? Is this interesting enough? And the more I thought about it, the less inspired I felt to post anything at all.

So I’m changing that.

After 22 years of designing homes, running a business, travelling, sourcing, renovating, laughing, stressing, changing our minds and occasionally wondering what on earth we’ve gotten ourselves into… there’s actually a lot to share.

Maybe it doesn’t all have to be perfectly curated.

So consider this my attempt at showing up here a little more often — projects, design, things we love, things I’m thinking about, life behind Atmosphere, and probably a little more of Trevor and me too.
