Vegfest is over for me.
I was asked to leave this morning by one of the organizers because I use a finish product that contains foodsafe BEESWAX, which is classified as “an animal byproduct”
Deliberating at length the philosophy of veganism and how that connects with minimizing the suffering of sentient creatures and its relevance to harvesting beeswax aside, after having a brief conversation with an organizer about it yesterday that resulted in letting it slide and allowing me to stay I was confronted by her upon arrival this morning and asked to leave.
An email last night notifying me of this decision would have been considerate and professionally competent, rather than let me show up early this morning and start unloading.
My vendor fee has been refunded already, thanks.

We’ll be set up there vending our inedible vegetables - that’s basically what a wood burl is!
There’ll be lots of eats, treats and sweets
Food trucks, like a whole fleet
Weedies and wheat, fried potato frites
Hot sauce that’ll put you in the heat seat
Meet & greets, beets and beats
Stuff that is neat, tons of cool sheet
And no meat!
