✨ My “new” lamps 💗

I LOVE MY NEW LAMPS!!!

This was an easy, cheap, quick project with major impact! I used Fusion Mineral Paint Fusion Mineral Paints and some hand-me-down shades. These lamps have a classic ginger jar shape that look great no matter what room they’re in.

I washed lamps as they were quite dusty & taped up cord & metal top part. I used 3 FMP Colours: Cashmere, Algonquin and Chocolate. The base colour is Cashmere and the layers are combos of the colours or individual colours. I added an additive (Extra FAT from FAT Paint) to give texture as well. I used different brushes (make-up type) to randomly add colour. This literally took 2 hours max because of dry time.

If you haven’t been yet, the International Plowing Match is still running today Fri Sep 25 and the last day tomorrow Sat Sep 26. There is something for everyone in the family!

An event of this magnitude requires so much planning and effort AND volunteers. And KUDOS to those volunteers who made this happen, EVERY SINGLE ONE of you that I interacted with were so helpful and dedicated to ensuring a super successful experience … HATS OFF TO ALL OF YOU 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻.

Remember these ceramic lamps??? Right from the 80’s!! The glossy ceramic with bright brass/gold base and to add to insult to injury, an etched or painted floral design. BUT the ginger jar shape is CLASSIC and these can be saved! Be sure to check back to see what I’ve done with these babies. A very simple, economical project in less then a couple hours.

HOW IS IT THE END OF APRIL ALREADY??!! Those were the quickest 3 months in my life since our announcement. So hard to believe the end is so close 🥲

We will be open Thur and Fri from 11-5:30 and Sat 10-4 - we are only cash & carry - sorry no debit/credit/gift/loyalty cards accepted.

Our entire stock (excluding paint/supplies and vintage) will be 75% off.

ALL of our paint & supplies will be 35% off.

All cards are 2 bucks.

For all those waiting on orders:
- Ferns - I just rec’d word that they are in BC so we hope to see them in the next couple weeks
- Towels - All towel orders have been picked up today
- Rugs - They are being shipped out next week so you will hear from me within the next couple weeks

Please bring your own bags as we are starting to run out.

And last but certainly not least, please join us this Sat from 10-4 for a customer appreciation day and enjoy some treats on us. And if Sue and I are wearing sunglasses indoors, there’s no need to mention it.
