Being part of the Food Venture Accelerator 2026 was another step in my journey of learning, growing, and building Dominican Flavours with intention. So grateful for this opportunity thanks to FoodBeverageManitoba

But beyond the recognition, what I value most is everything I learned along the way. There are so many things people don’t see behind a business. Community, learning, showing up, wearing many hats, working when we are tired and other parts of the iceberg that only our family knows.

Building a food brand is not just about creating great flavours. It’s about constantly learning, improving, and making sure we’re giving our customers the best experience we can.

I’m proud of this moment, but even more excited about what we are taking from it into the next chapter of Dominican Flavours.

Do you season your eggs before or after cooking?

Most people add salt after the eggs are already cooked.
Try this instead: season your beaten eggs before they hit the pan.

When the seasoning is mixed into the eggs before cooking, the flavour is distributed throughout every bite, not just sitting on top.

One small change that can make your everyday eggs taste so much better. Try it next time and taste the difference!

A new chapter for El Izalco Market

Dominican Flavours is now at El Izalco Market in Downtown Winnipeg! 🎉

They’re under new management, and I have to say the market looks so beautiful! The new owners are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and resourceful, and you can really feel the fresh vision they’re bringing to the space.

I’m so happy to have Dominican Flavours be part of this new chapter😍😍😍😍
