I spent quite a bit of August and September designing Baby Shower Invitations and this one is by far my absolute favorite - Apple of Our Eye 🍎

Both my kids due date was for October and this would have fit perfectly for me! However I never ended up having a baby shower, so no themes were used.

And now I’m already on holiday cards mode too, so Christmas soundtrack with the mandatory Michael Bublé is on for inspiration reasons only, of course!

Gosh I LOVE OCTOBER! I love so many things about this month, I could have been born in October, but December is also pretty cool! And instead I had my second daughter in October to make this month even better!

I love how warm oatmeal and fall leaves start being a part of our days, how I need to put on a light jacket to take the kids to school… I love to open the windows in the morning and feel that really fresh air coming inside the house (even better if it rained during the night, like today)…

And to my surprise I also love it because of Halloween! Halloween was somewhat observed in my life already, mainly because of my work, as most of my clients are in the US. But since we moved to Madrid, it became even better with the actual Halloween night. We go out with the kids and their friends, around the neighborhood and just like you see it in the movies, the kids go trick or treating for a couple of hours! I love that our neighborhood puts in so much effort every year and the vibe is just super fun!

Hear hear to October!!!!!! I LOVE YOU!

And happy birthday to my sweet second born who celebrates her 4th birthday today 🥹 I can’t believe Laura is already Alice’s age when she was born!

Thank goodness it’s here!!! I can’t wait to start picking some thicker clothes from the closet and to pull the blanket over me during the night.

Here’s to the warm oatmeal with caramelized apples, the crispy mornings, the golden leaves… the colorful socks and the colder air that does not seem to be swallowing you.

To the roasted pumpkin and tomato soups, the lighted candles, and Gilmore Girls on all over again!

The season that brings all the girls’ birthdays here at home, Halloween and the beginning of Christmas!

The photos are just from a walk this week in Madrid before a photo session! I even had time to lay in the ground in Retiro and enjoy the view 🍂🍁

I know that everyone has their preferences when it comes to each season, and if you’ve been around for a while you’ll know that I LOVE colder seasons.

But it’s not JUST that I’m not fond of summer, it’s that I really struggle with these very very long four months. It really starts in the second half of May… June, July and August all brutal with most days close or above 35°C. September follows, but we’re now closer to 30°C and nights/mornings are finally cooler. I just feel that I drag all the time, my energy and productivity feels completely drained. And I have a really hard time functioning.

However as we’re almost reaching the first day of fall (oh my heart!!!!!) I decided to actually go back to my camera roll and remember what actually brought me joy. And there were a few things!

I can’t believe that we have reached this wonderful month - though the best best one is still the following one 🍂

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this time of the year, the fruits and vegetables are a mix of summer flavors, but cozy enters the scene with recipes of late harvest tomatoes, carrots and pumpkin thrown in the oven for a long roast.

Nights start to get chilly and you start to pull the sheets again, the light blankets… days are becoming noticeably shorter, inviting to a retreat at home.

I’m full with glee while writing this 🍂🥰

I don’t do craft fairs anymore (but I remember meeting some of you when I did craft fairs at Lx Factory more than a DECADE ago!), but I felt super proud of these photos I made with my last collection of illustrations. And these would make a great eye catching table stand for a craft fair for sure!

What is your favorite?

Ps. Can I also share that I’m very proud of how my pothos is growing, that is already long enough to sneak into the photos? I always LOVE to add plants to my marketing photos!
