Contemporary Scottish wallpaper & hand printed interior textiles... Clement Design is run by me, Tery McCowan, from my studio in Clachan, Applecross Scotland.

I specialise in unique scottish wallpaper and creating interior spaces which are uniquely designed and founded upon the clients' needs. I have recently finished the new design and upgrade of The Walled Garden Restaurant on Applecross Estate. As well as the interior design side of things, I also design and hand print my own bespoke range of interior textiles. I like to incorporate my own designs in the jobs I do where I see fitting. The new signage is underway, and we’ve also been developing a range of merchandise. Here’s a sneak peek at the t-shirt designs, with lots of other pieces still in progress.

My shop, Applecross Interiors & Gifts is turning ONE! 🎉 Clement Design is turning TWENTY!!!! 😲

It’s been 1 year since I opened the shop - after 19 years of printing on the kitchen table (and my studio in the big house for a few years too!)
I just want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has supported me, shopped here and recommended me along the way — it really means so much!

If you’ve been meaning to pop in to the shop but haven’t had the chance yet, this is the perfect time to come! If you’ve been thinking about ordering blinds or getting started on a project, now’s a great time to do it.

Fancy a free t-shirt?? Finally got this one printed on black — my own take on Bealach na Bà.

This one was a bit of a challenge. Printing white onto black isn’t the easiest process, but that’s part of the fun when you’re doing it all by hand 😬

I designed this piece inspired by the amazing road. If you’ve driven it, you’ll know exactly what I mean… tight hairpins, unreal views, and that feeling when you finally reach the top. Once you reach Applecross come to my shop Applecross Interiors & Gifts and try one on! If you fancy being a model for a little project I’m working on drop a comment or a DM and the person picked by random will receive a FREE t-shirt!
