Great to announce I have now secured my wee unit.

Some work to do like cover the walls to stop any dust going into the other units and add a shelf along the back to store my makes but this now allows me to store and make items down here and not in my house.

Even the amazing harbour staff had a wee collections or rope and netting waiting on me knowing I can utilise these into items.

One step closer to my original main goal to recycle all marine plastics by cleaning, shredding and heat injection moulding.

Have any idea what I could do to utilise my space drop me a comment or message. 😊

Sunflowers secured!

Hey all, been a wee while since my last post.

So following that post all is okay with my nana and she’s on the mend and doing great.
Still plenty of tests and appointments for me to take her to but we see it as an excuse to enjoy a wee day out and of course have a spot of food.

I’ve also been working away behind the scenes and guess what I just went and done…..

I went and only rented a unit!!! Yes that’s right I’ve now got a wee storage unit to help facilitate keeping on top of the rope I currently have and the potential of more space for more rope and marine plastics!!!

It’s not been cheap but it’s mine for a year and continue use there after on a yearly lease. This will give me the space to sort out my workshop that well isn’t a workshop but now a dumping ground while I’ve been nipping in and out. It also means in more space to store all my makes without it taking up worship space. And potentially a wee area to make some items away from my house where my workshop is.

So hears what I hope to get help with from you.

My ethos is always to reuse and recycle where I can and I want to put a big shelf up to store my tubs of makes away from the floor and working space.
So…
So you have any lumber spare? Maybe a demo of an interior wall and you have studding etc?

And a decent thickness of chip board, ply wood or something similar to make the shelf part from?

If so give me a shout. I’m hopefully getting the keys first week or so in September and would love to get this built straight away before I move anything in.

So please reach out if you have anything

I’m also looking for some sort of wall coverings for two of the walls where they back into other unit holders. As my rope can be dusty I’d love to get some sort of membrane to cover the slats so they don’t get my dust entering there are. So anything you can think of send it my way.

And of course please reach out if you want to buy some makes as the bank balance is a little low now 😜

I’ve also got bigger plans for something this winter but I can’t go to much into this at the moment as we have certain people taking idea of mine and this one is mine to be part off 😘😘 well hopefully if things a line properly 🤞🤞🤞

You can find me at Johnshaven Fish Festival this Saturday! 2nd year at this amazing event!

Here is some car parking info for anyone coming to the event.

Can’t wait to see everyone and also pop into Waters Edge: Gift Shop & Gallery to have a chat and see all the amazing items they have for sale especially there new stockist Scapa Joe who does amazing things with ocean plastics and beach litter

**IMPORTANT - ACCESSING THE EVENT**

If you can, please use public transport where possible. If you’re taking the car, please adhere to all road signs and stewards and follow their instructions.

Please DO NOT enter Lathallan from the A92, as we operate a one way system and this is the exit route. Entry is by turning into the main entrance road for Johnshaven and following signage and stewards instructions.

ALL parking for the event is at Lathallan School, which you will be directed to upon entering the village. Parking is £5.00 - Cash & £5.50 - Card per vehicle.

Remember, entry to the event itself is FREE, therefore, the car parking is one of our main ways of raising funds.
From Lathallan, it is only a pleasant 10-15 minute walk to the harbour area. We do provide 2 courtesy mini buses (one is adapted to accommodate a wheelchair/small mobility scooter) transferring you to the village if you’d prefer. These also operate to take you back to the car parking after your visit.

There are designated disabled spaces at Lathallan. These are located next to the courtesy bus stop, These are still charged.

We would like to extend thanks to PertBruce Construction & Sunbelt Rentals for supporting us with traffic management equipment this year & to Mearns minibus links and Smith and Sons Coaches for the buses!!!

Thank you in advance for your understanding and we hope you have a great day 🐙🦑🦐🦞🦀🐡🐠🐟🐬🐳🐋🦈
