Well there was a lovely surprise retirement party at the shop on Saturday night and we would like to say thank you to all who came to celebrate along side us, we would also like to thank all friends,family, and Customers old and new for all there kind wishes cards and gifts, we would also like to say a very good luck to Dale and Mhairi as they take the shop on into the future hope you make as much great memories there as we did, lots of love from all the Ballater Emslie clan and from our current and past staff members 🥰

To All Our Customers, Friends and Family,

After 54 years as a carpet fitter and 41 wonderful years in business, I have decided that the time has come to retire.

I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank each and every one of you for your support over the years. Your custom, loyalty and friendship have meant so much to us, and it has been a privilege to spend the last 41 years helping to turn your houses into homes.

I would also like to thank all the businesses we have had the pleasure of working alongside throughout Ballater, Deeside and Donside. Your support, encouragement and friendship have played a huge part in the success of our business, and for that we are truly grateful.

A very special thank you goes to all the staff who have worked so hard for us over the years. Your dedication, loyalty and commitment have been invaluable, and we couldn't have done it without you.

As many of you know, we have sold the business as a going concern. We are delighted to hand it over to its new owners, Dale and Mhairi Grassick, and wish them every success as they begin this exciting new chapter. They will take over from Tuesday, 1 September 2026, and we hope you will welcome them into the community and continue to support them as generously as you have supported us. We wish them many happy and successful years ahead.

Finally, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of our journey. We have made many wonderful memories and lifelong friendships over the years, and we will always look back on our time in business with great pride and gratitude.

Here's to a happy, healthy and well-earned retirement!

Thank you to everyone who popped into the hall today for our clearance sale we managed to sell a good bit of our stock,
Now for the competition the name of the chick

And the winner is Mary Emslie 😂 can’t believe it 😂 hope your grandkiddys love her and we raised some pennys for a good cause
