Smokey the Dog
Smokey the Great Dane dog featured in Karndeans logo was founder Mike Walkers dog when he started this small business from his home in 1973.
To help Shelter and Shelter Scotland in their vital work tackling homelessness and housing issues across the UK, Karndean have created a limited edition Smokey the Dog plush toy, who’s looking for a home of his own.
We have decided to help make a difference by gifting a Smokey plush to every customer who purchases a Karndean floor from us. From each Smokey we purchase, £5 will be given directly to Shelter, supporting their cause. Give Smokey a home. Help others find theirs too.
Why get involved?
Recent figures from Shelter show that every 3 minutes, a household in England becomes homeless, while in Scotland, every 15 minutes. One in every 71 children in England are homeless, and 41 children become homeless every day in Scotland. Shelter and Shelter Scotland exist to defend the right to a safe home and fight the devastating impact the housing emergency has on people and society.
