Are you playing it too safe with colour? šŸŽØ

So many of my clients tell me they love colour… but when it comes to actually choosing it for their own home, the nerves creep in!

Being braver with colour doesn’t have to mean going bright or bold. Sometimes it’s a warmer neutral, a fabulous pink sofa or simply having the confidence to commit to that gorgeous deep blue you love.

After a very inspiring morning at Little Greene this week, I’ve written a new blog all about using colour with confidence and creating a home that feels like you, rather than following trends.

New blog is live now → link in bio šŸ’—

And tell me… what colour would you love to be braver with?

A very inspiring morning with Little Greene šŸ’•šŸŽØ

I was lucky enough to be invited along to their Notting Hill showroom today for a very special preview of the 26 new colours launching on 14th September… and there are already quite a few I know I’m going to LOVE using in my clients’ homes. šŸ‘€

As well as a little moodboarding, it was fascinating to hear more about what goes into developing a new paint collection, how colours are created and refined, and where we’re heading next with colour in our homes.

Think warmer, earthier tones, beautiful muted shades and, of course, some gorgeous pinks, blues and greens. Basically, lots that is very much up my street! šŸ’•šŸ’™šŸ’š

I can’t share the new colours just yet, but I’ll be sharing my favourites as soon as they launch.

Days like today remind me exactly why I love what I do. Colour can completely change not only how a room looks, but how it feels — and helping my clients find the colours that make their homes feel like them is one of my favourite parts of my job.

Thank you for having me. I’ve come home full of ideas! ✨

Hello September! šŸ‚

I’m back after a lovely summer with my family and, as much as I love the holidays, I have to admit I’m rather excited about getting back into interiors again!

September always feels like a bit of a fresh start. The children go back to school, routines return and suddenly we start looking around our homes and noticing all those things we’ve been meaning to sort out.

And if you’ve spent the summer thinking…

I really need to do something with this room.

Why can’t I make this space feel finished?

What colour on earth do I paint it?

…this might be the perfect time to tackle it.

I have some availability this autumn for my 2-hour Interior Design Consultations, where we can sit down together in your home and work through all those decisions you’ve been struggling with.
Colour, layout, furniture, lighting, window treatments, finishing touches… or simply figuring out what isn’t working and how we can make it better.

I also have limited availability for full interior design projects this autumn if you’d like me to take care of the whole room for you.
After a quieter summer on here, I’m really looking forward to sharing more of what I’ve been working on, some beautiful projects and lots more ideas to help you create a home that makes you happy. ā¤ļø

You can find out more about my 2-hour consultations here:

Or just drop me a message and tell me what room is driving you mad at the moment! šŸ˜‚

Here’s to a lovely September and getting excited about our homes again. šŸ”

Sometimes the answer isn’t buying a whole room full of new things.

It’s working out why the room doesn’t quite feel right yet.

Maybe the layout isn’t making the best use of the space.
The colours aren’t quite connecting.
The lighting feels wrong.
Or it simply needs those finishing touches that make everything come together.

Often, it just takes a fresh pair of eyes and a clear plan.

My 2 Hour Design Consultations are designed to do exactly that.

We can look at colour, layout, furniture, lighting, window treatments and those all-important finishing touches, working through the things you’ve been stuck on and giving you the confidence to move forward.

I’m opening my diary for September consultations now, so if you have a room you’d love to finally get right, come and chat to me.

DM me ā€œDESIGNā€ and I’ll send you the details šŸ’•

One hour. One room. A clear direction.

September appointments are now available if you’d like to give your home a fresh start this autumn.

Beautiful homes don’t happen by accident. ✨

When people see the finished photos, it’s easy to think it all came together effortlessly.

But every project starts somewhere.

Usually with builders still on site, empty rooms, lots of questions and hundreds of decisions waiting to be made.

Long before the cushions are plumped and the flowers are arranged, I’m thinking about how the space will flow, where the lighting should sit, how colours connect from room to room and how the home will feel to live in every single day.

It’s those thoughtful decisions, many of which people never see, that create a home that feels beautifully cohesive.

Simple swaps can make all the difference. ✨

Swipe to see the before.

When we moved into our new build, the kitchen was perfectly practical, but it lacked personality.

We didn’t replace the units or worktops. Instead, we focused on the details:

• Swapped the chrome tap and handles for brass.
• Added a rich blue wall colour to bring depth to the space.
• Styled it with a few carefully chosen accessories.
• Added some statement lighting.

Together, those simple changes completely transformed how the kitchen feels.

It’s a reminder that creating a home you love isn’t always about starting from scratch. Sometimes it’s the thoughtful finishing touches that make the biggest difference.

Which change do you think has the biggest impact? The brass, the paint colour or the styling? šŸ‘‡

The biggest mistake I see during renovations?
Designing one room at a time.

When I joined this project, the builders were already on site and the extension was underway.

My clients wanted to make sure the original house and new extension felt as though they’d always belonged together, creating a seamless flow from the front door right through to the garden.

That’s where thoughtful interior design makes all the difference.

For this hallway we chose:
✨ A bespoke made-to-order statement pendant.
✨ A tailored stair runner.
✨ Bespoke hallway storage.
✨ Colours and finishes that connect beautifully with the rest of the home.

Alongside the hallway, I also designed the open-plan kitchen, dining and living space, the ante room, and advised on colours throughout the house to create one cohesive feel.

The Roman blinds are still to come, but it’s so rewarding seeing everything coming together.

A beautiful home isn’t about designing individual rooms. It’s about creating a home that flows beautifully as a whole.

I’m now booking design consultations and have space for just 1–2 full design projects from September.

If you’re planning a renovation or extension, I’d love to help. ✨

Sneak peek!

Busy working behind the scenes on a few designs at the moment so thought I’d share a sneak peek for an open plan family kitchen, living and dining space.

Loving these soft pinks and greens. 🌸🌱

How do you create a home that feels beautiful? šŸ’•

It isn’t about filling every corner or buying the latest trends.

It’s about creating a space that feels warm, welcoming and truly reflects you.

The little details often make the biggest difference.

✨ Add texture to create warmth.
✨ Layer your lighting to change the mood.
✨ Choose artwork that tells your story.
✨ Edit your styling so each piece has room to shine.
✨ Style with intention, not perfection.

These are the same principles I use when designing my clients’ homes, and they’re just as effective whether you’re refreshing one corner or redesigning an entire room.

Which tip will you try first? I’d love to know in the comments. šŸ‘‡

šŸ’—Comment HOME below and I’ll send you my free guide, 8 Steps to a Beautiful Room, packed with practical designer tips to help you create a home you’ll love.
