https://www.coraliescraftsgifts.com/collections/sealife-designs I served in the army for 13.5 years & was medically discharged from the Army in May 2013 for mental health reasons. In September 2013, I decided to start selling my handmade items as a business. To start off with this was mainly knitted & crocheted items with a few embroidered items. Over the years this has changed & now my business is mainly machine embroidered gifts, specialising in personalised bespoke towels. I’ve always enjoyed making things & this is mainly due to my beloved Auntie, Enid Threadgould. I used to spend my summer holidays as a child with her up in Beeston, Leeds, where she taught me to knit. We would make dishcloths and egg cosies, plus other items too. At school I learnt to embroider, create models out of clay, learnt to sew & learnt how to crochet and I was hooked. Over the years, I kept on crocheting blankets & baby blankets for friends. Plus I also learnt how to make fancy dress costumes. I now produce embroidered products that can be personalised to your individual needs, ideal for anything from your business, to gifts for your loved ones. Since starting my business in September 2013, I’m really proud of where I am now. I have new focus as I now move to a new shop premises. I love my business, I love bringing joy to those who love my gifts & to those that love what I do. I’m one woman, who loves to make. My business is what keeps my mental health in check. When people fall in love with my products, the boost it gives me is huge. It’s not just my business, but my therapy & a lifestyle necessity. So a huge thanks to my family, my friends, my lovely followers & my most amazing customers. Coralie

There are 2 Remembrance crochet Poppy Brooch Workshops.

Christmas Paper Piecing Patchwork workshops

Level 1 Beginners Crochet on 21st November & 5th December are both fully booked

New workshop dates for 2027

What another wet dreary day we have today.

Hello everyone. Im a bit late this year promoting my Crochet Poppy Brooches. I’ve been hesitant due to almost running out of the purple I’ve had for my purple poppy brooches. As the brand I have always used discontinued the colour.

Thankfully though with the help of Why Knot Wool Shop & Crafts I have finally got a colour that’s as close to the original yarn I have always used. Im so, so happy about this.

Going to get back into making them for this year. You can purchase them from my website and from my shop in Blandford Dorset.

Or if you’d like to make your own for remembrance, I have two workshops available for you to book onto:-

1st November is at my shop in Blandford, Dorset.
7th November is at the wonderful cafe at The Hub on the Heath, Canford Heath, Poole.

£5 from each place booked will be donated to the British Legion Poppy Appeal.
