Welcome to Wychbury Designs, I'm Paula Perrins and I have been working as a designer-maker since 2004. I live and work in Bingley, a small but perfectly formed town in the beautiful Aire Valley with my husband, two awesome teenagers and whippet named Ginny! I create sewing accessories, kits and tutorials designed to help keep your stitching practice simple and accessible for whenever you feel like

picking up your needle. As a textile artist working from our small and busy home, I am always looking for ways to keep my projects tidy and on hand for whenever creativity strikes or I need a little moment of mindfulness in my day. I use recycled textiles and hand stitching techniques to design wearable pincushions and project boxes to help you get the most out of your stitching wherever you are. You will also find my handmade brooches, gifts and other treasures for you, your home and your sewing box. I love hand embroidery and english paper piecing and share tutorials as well as hints and tips for happy sewing over on my social media. Paula x

Throwback Thursday! This is an old video, with old hair, fonts, music and quality but it's pretty evergreen I think. (RIP Insta's 1:1 format, we miss the squares!😭)

It's a tutorial to get started with English Paper Piecing or EPP with stuff you might have at home.

I'm currently writing a workshop and designing a kit to make my mini EPP pincushions and I realised that I haven't shared anything patchworky for a minute! It's still a favourite technique of mine and I'm super excited to be picking it back up for a new project.
