My next door neighbour was on a bus last year on the guided busway.
It got hit by a fire engine which ended up with her being in a coma for weeks with life threatening brain injury.
She amazingly came out of the coma, & had to learn to walk and speak.
Recovery is still in progress and she is doing really well.
We moved this year so not caught up with the latest but I noticed a fund raiser she’s involved in.
If anyone could donate anything that would be lovely to show how support to her to keep making the best of life.
She proves no matter how hard or bleak things may seem- keep hopeful and keep going ❤️❤️‍🩹❤️

A rather special find at La Vintique Maison.

Sir David Attenborough - Zoo Quest for a dragon, 1957.

We have just added this super rare book to our eBay. Check it out.

A first edition, and a first print impression. This is the second book that David wrote and this one is signed by him personally.
A national treasure of a character. There are some fantastic photographs in the book which bring to life the story of the remarkable expedition in search for the Komodo Dragon, from the pioneering Zoo Quest years that helped establish Attenborough's extraordianary career in natural history broadcasting.

“All the world’s a stage… and today Cambridge Market was one of its finest scenes.”

✨ “We are such stuff as dreams are made on.” – The Tempest

Shakespeare came to Cambridge Market today as one of the wonderful Cambridge Shakespeare Company actors stopped by our stall while promoting this week’s performances of The Tempest.

It felt rather fitting… because markets, like theatre, are full of stories waiting to be discovered. Every antique has a past, every treasure a tale, and every visit brings the chance to find something unexpected.

If you’re wandering through Cambridge this week, why not make a day of it?
📍 Explore the wonderful independent traders at Cambridge Market.
🏺 Pop by La Vintique Maison and uncover a piece of history to take home.
🎭 Then end the day beneath the summer sky with The Tempest.

As Prospero reminds us, “We are such stuff as dreams are made on.” Perhaps you’ll find a little magic of your own.

Today a Cambridge Politics graduate finds the perfect momento.
Often the objects we curate connect with someone at the perfect time.
This 19thc engraving of historical political figures is now in the custodianship of this gentleman.
