π§οΈ RAIN, RAIN, GO AWAY! π§οΈ
It was a frustrating end to last week thanks to the heavy rain, and this week hasn't exactly started much better! π
It's typical that the odd dry day in the forecast seems to fall on the days I'm on duty at the fire station! π
But when the rain finally eased this afternoon and the sun made a welcome appearance, I jumped straight in the van and headed out to carry out a gutter clearance. πͺ
π‘ Why was this one so important?
The customer had been experiencing damp in her child's bedroom. After looking up at the gutters, she could see that both the gutters and downpipe were blocked.
I wanted to get around there at the earliest opportunity to clear everything out and help prevent the problem from getting any worse.
Blocked gutters might seem like a minor issue, but with all this rain, they can quickly lead to bigger problems, including:
β οΈ Damp patches and mould inside your home.
β οΈ Water overflowing onto walls, potentially damaging brickwork and pointing.
β οΈ Damage to fascias, soffits and timber.
β οΈ Water collecting around your property's foundations.
β οΈ Costly repairs if problems are left untreated.
With no real sign of the rain stopping anytime soon, now is a great time to get those gutters checked and cleared! ππ§οΈ
Don't wait until a blocked gutter turns into an expensive headache.
